Got 4.50 left on my account. Thinking of getting Day Of Defeat Source, plus TF2 items if I have anything left over. Good idea? Is DODS any good? oh nvm the sale is over that sucks ass.
you buy tf2 items????
Yes.
Definitely.
If you won't rage at people 1 shot killing you with K98 - Sure! It's pretty fun. But i get a feeling MP40 was buffed from the first DoD. Can anybody confirm this?
Definitely worth the money, got well over 500 hours gameplay out of it, still play now with my clan every now and again.
Who wouldn't like it?
Worth every penny.
I think I played DoD twice after I bought it. It never really captured my interest like tf2 did.
I don't know, to me it feels like TF2 with less bright colours to hold my attention.
DOD:S is really good. I'm playing it like crazy and the community is much better than TF2 one.
What do you even do in DoD?
You capture and defend points and complete objectives playing either Germans or Americans in world war II era.

[QUOTE=A B.A. Survivor;26050314]So TF2, but realistic and with Nazis.[/QUOTE] Uh... no.
CSS and TF2 take up tons of my time but when I get started on DODS I can't stop unless I practically fall asleep. Best WW2 game I've ever seen, beats CoD: World at War too. Good mods, great weapons, all-around more serious community than TF2. I think it's one of the games every Steam player needs. Sometimes it even improves my skills in other games because you have to focus on living longer and there's much less of a drive for achievements than say, TF2. This is the kind of game where people focus on playing all the time and it's relatively hacker-free. I've only seen one confirmed (maybe two) hacker in over a year of playing it. In short, buy it
DoD:S is the love child of CS:S and TF2, but involving Nazis.
Both versions of Day of Defeat (GoldSrc and Source) are worth your money.
Yeah, the GoldSrc version is pretty awesome too. Can't go wrong with either, to be honest.
ive never really liked DoD:S all that much, but a full multiplayer game for 2.50, hell yea!
It's a great game. Has a more mature playerbase than other source games, aswell. A shame that most servers have shitty multikill sounds and blocked classes.
Resistance & Liberation mod does the job that Day of Defeat left half-done, don't buy the game. Get the mod [editline]16th November 2010[/editline] The playerbase isn't that much right now, but they will be put on Steam once they have fixed out all the bugs and glitches they have in it. [editline]16th November 2010[/editline] Expect a massive boost in players then
I love the outpost map, nothing like staying in the bushes and ambushing.
