Steam games saying they have downloaded when they havn't

Grrr.... it is really annoying when it happens.

I was redownloading my Source games, and closed Steam for whatever reason. Went back on, saw that Half-Life Deathmatch Source, Half-Life 2: Episode 2, and Team Fortress 2 had finished downloading when I hadn't even started them. I thought "Yay, no more downloading. Just go test my .cfg and then play some TF2.".

Started up EP2, had to start downloading it. Tried Deathmatch, had to download it. Tried TF2, had to download it. Yet before I tried them, they said "100% - Ready". This really annoys me, seeing as now have to download TF2, EP2, Zeno Clash, and all the Steam mods again. Deathmatch downloaded quickly, so that's why it's not in that list.

Anyone else ever get this? And what do you think of it?

Also can a mod put an e after the v in the title? I seemed to have missed it.

Happens to me too. Just delete ClientRegistry.blob in your /Steam/ directory. :)

I will next time. But at least now they show that they haven't downloaded fully.
