Can anyone here honestly say that they have played DAOC and found a better MMORPG? I have tried everything out there and found nothing close to the intensity of this game. its pvp and pve are extremely customizable, and although it has mediocre 2004 graphics, i would say it beats the hell out of WoW.
I am just confused at how it died so fast anyone know why? Other than EA raped it that is.

2004 graphics? Did they upgrade the graphics or something? The game was released in like 2001 or something like that.
I played it for a month and it just didn't do it for me. I had already been playing Everquest and decided to see if this game would be another game I would like.
It just couldn't compete in my opinion.
EA is alright, but sometimes they tend to overdue things (in a bad way).
Dark Age of Camelot should become free to play since it's aging already.
They updated all player models and most monsters models during the Catacombs expansion. Its an interesting thought making it free to play, only problem would be that multi-account groups would run rampant, if you dont have to pay 15$x8 for it everyone would have one. That would be interesting

About as revivable as Planetside or SWG at this point... they'd have to go back in time and remove some shit to bring people back... and they wouldn't want to admit they made a mistake now, would they?
Greatest game ever, the possibilities to do something fun are endless and the game is logical on the sense of numbers and actual hit points. I find exaggerated characters and hit points and stats to be annoying and hard to keep track.. The graphics own Warhammer because daoc has actual characters not far fantasized, where games liek Wow look like a cartoon.
MMOs shouldnt be cartoons. This games PvP is genius, some classes are a little uneven but better htan all games for sure
I can't help but go back to daoc every year....I play on Tristan server (Devon Cluster)
Also note, all servers are being combined to create an overpopulation so that PvP will be chaos.
There are still thousands of players and the action is fine.
Once an MMO dies it can never be revived, fact.
There are private servers, all you need is a DAoC client, and the server browser thing, you can get both from here: [url]http://www.dolserver.net/[/url]. last I checked, some of them were pretty popular, too.
