Account permanently terminated. - Games

So, about 9 months ago I quit playing WoW, but didn't close the account, I just left it there. Now, I receive this message, that I can play 7 days for free before the new expansion - so I'm like "what the hell, I'll give it another shot!". When I change my long-forgotten password, I try to log in via the account management section and I am greeted with this very friendly announcement - [url]https://www.wow-europe.com/account/account-error.html[/url] I sent a message to Blizz, but why do you think this happened?

It seems you got scammed. Hard.

If what's too good to be true? Blizzard are currently sending out 7 days free to people who have been unsubbed for a while, so they can suck them in for Cataclysm.

I have two friends who got the email, and it was legit.

Give us the link that was sent to you in the email [editline]13th November 2010[/editline] also since you haven't had the account active for awhile they can't do much without putting their own CC on the account.

I was the one stating that he was scammed, and I already said that I was wrong. So late.

It seems there were several breaches in my account security and they will give my account back to me once I send them a confirmation that I no longer have any keyloggers etc. in my PC. Who would "breach" an inactive account?

It was really stupid, as nothing in my account was missing and there was no suspicious activity and none of my characters were ever moved.

i have got to hand it to these tricksters... ive been receiving a few very convincing phishing emails as of late

Sometimes you get stuff like that when you get hacked, suppose it depends on if the hacker is using it to farm or selling everything to earn gold to send to his farming character.
