It's not a port. I highly doubt they could have modified the code for Portal for the iphone because:
A. Portal's source code is not available
B. Portal requires Dx8.1 to run and rewriting the shaders to run on the iphone is not possible because of all of the Dx calls.
If anything, this is a remake.

I can see some small Orange and BLU portals at the bottom.
Meaning this can't be a port. It was designed for use on it.

That's the Unity engine and *that's* a 3GS, so it's possible. Hell, Unity supports the PhysX middleware, so even *that* could be possible, although a major feat.
I thought you would've noticed that from the funky elldeeare shadows, though.
Except if they redid the game in another engine, and with high accuracy, that's impossible. The Source Engine was written for Direct3D, but as far as I know, the iPhone only manages OpenGL (or a dumbed down version of it).
Re-watched the video; it's not the original Portal, it's indeed a tech demo for a possible future remake.

Except it isn't, at all? The iPod touch has a MUCH slower processor, MUCH less ram, and yeah, all the things a few posts up.

3GS has way more juice than an Ipod touch. The Ipod touch can barely run a GBA emulator, while a 3GS can run a PSX Emulator at nearly full frames.
It's Unity, not source... Not fake..
