You can also join the Steam Group here:

This group has just been created like five minutes ago, I've already been asked why there's like no signings atm :P
Thanks.
WOW theres more than 10 threads on this
And it's not like petitions work anyways.
An online petition isn't going to make a company shell out millions of dollars producing a game, you are an idiot.
"As of August 17, 2009, the project has officially been declared as on hold. In a recent interview, Crytek UK claimed that they would continue the project once there is a high industry demand for such a game"
Only possibility.
Hey you're no zombie!?
YEA!!
*ahem* I mean Yeah

For everyone who keeps saying "petitions don't work".

They don't.
That demand is never going to be high enough in their eyes.

15,000 people that wan't the game isn't going to make them a high enough profit, they won't make it.

That's 15,000 people who DEMAND it be made. What about the countless others who will buy it once it actually IS made, and has been marketed like they always do with games?

15k even for a DEMAND is very little
Oh God, I used to play Future Perfect every Saturday when my cousin came to visit. I fucking loved every second of it and I would possibly explode from happiness if they made TimeSplitters 4 without fucking it up.
15k even for a DEMAND is very little
Obviously, but soon enough they'll re-consider it. They'll do they're research, trends etc, what's likely to be in fashion around the predicted time of release, then look for things such as support, etc. Like come on, who seriously supports Crysis 2? The game has such a terrible storyline, it's essentially a benchmarking game.

They won't invest in a game unless they are sure they are going to make a profit, the petition hasn't even reached 15K yet and even then they'd be making a major loss. If the game is going to be made, it won't be released this year.

Obviously not. Call of Duty games are spewed out every year, but by two different companies. They have a two year development cycle, and for a game which has never been on the "next-gen" platforms it could take a good 2 years at minimum until it's made. Crytek make some bloody boring games, but people still want to buy them anyway. They know for a fact if they made TS4 they'd make a good profit, same with Star Wars Battlefront 3. They were both massively popular games for their times.
Petitions might not make the overall victory, but they can give a little push towards it. If you want the game, I don't see why taking 30 seconds to type your name into a petition takes longer than spending an hour+ arguing the point on a forum. Massive loss of logic in that.

I doubt it will be made because of a petition.
If they thought they were making a really good game then they wouldn't worry about public interest because the game itself would sell. Who wanted more of Just Cause? That had a low interest but look at how well Just Cause 2 is doing simply because it's a good game, not because of franchise.
There's not enough interest to make Timesplitters 4 and as much as I loved the last 3, I wouldn't want them to shit out a sequel for the sake of it, I'd rather them make something that they want to and think will be good.
If it were Activision they'd make a shitty game and it'll sell entirely on the title, I'm glad Crytek aren't like that.

Crytek aren't like that, but instead they shit out benchmarks to kill your PC and convince people to buy new GPU's.
Actually, thinking about it TS4 would probably be on the CryEngine.. noes =[

You don't know how the industry works.
This petition isn't going to do anything.
In a few years, you'll have the sense to know this like everyone else does.

You don't know it won't do anything, because you aren't them. I don't know if it'll even help either, but as I've pointed out before:
Why spend 10 minutes+ on a forum arguing the point of it, where your name could be on it within 20 seconds and the thread could be over and done with for yourself. Everyone made a petition for the MW2 dedicated servers because they thought it could be a good game, but I'm pretty sure most knew it wouldn't be listened to at that point, but they still did it anyway and still do. There's at least a reason trying to petition something which is currently on hold, and has been said that if there's a seemingly high industry demand for the game, they'll take it off hold and begin developing it. Let's say every average user on facepunch, ragezone and a good few thousand steam members signed up. The numbers would amount, they're obviously not going to ignore it, because that's a high industry demand for a game.

I don't see your problem, Crysis on medium ran well and looked about on par with other games at the time, I played through it just fine on a Nvidia 7900GS. Would you've been happier if there weren't the higher graphical settings for those who do have the hardware?
Yea but you guys don't understand the people who don't read up on this stuff. I sure think there are a great number of people who would love the game just know nothing about the petition. I sure if they announced something to catch peoples attention they would have a huge success.

I know it won't work because I've seen a million online petitions that did nothing, and this online petition is no different from any other. If anything, it's less successful than average.
But I guess you won't believe me until it officially fails.
This is like signing the petition to make Uwe Boll stop releasing his horrible movies.
It didn't work.
