...it tells me. So I free up the necessary 700mb or so. Now it wants me to free up 830mb. I manage to free up about 300mb more and it's still saying free up 800mb. Is there anything I can do to stop the updates? I can't free up any more space at all.
Unfortunately, you need the updates to play, so no you can't do anything to stop them if you want to keep playing.
:frown:
Now it's asking for 1.3gb more.
I'm only on a laptop
WoW takes up like 22gb total these days, get a bigger HDD.
Between my Beta, Retail and BC Private server files, I've used about 60gbs of space.
Invest in a new hard drive.
ooh i got dumbs for mentioning private server
sorry for liking the burning crusade
Would defragging it help?

Not really.
Fixed. :)
Now with the streaming content downloads, you're going to have to keep an eye on your HDD space. Recommend you upgrade your HDD if that is possible without too much trouble.
How can you have so much shit on your laptop? My laptop's only got a 250gb drive and I have like a 100gb left and I've got WoW, HL2, GMod etc. on it.
You probably need to upgrade your laptop if you can't hold WoW on it. Big HDD's are really cheap these days.
If you do the digital download World of Warcraft makes a backup in your documents folder, check there. Yesterday I was freeing up space for the hell of it and found that all the patches and the full game install were in two folders.
