I saw a thread that was the underrated game list, so I thought we needed an overrated one. So, what (in your opinion) is the most overrated game?
My pick:
Modern Warfare 2

Most Overrated Games V.2 it is.
OP is right.
Wow.
Kinda hard actually.
Uuuhm...
Maybe F1 2010, the people (that I know) that play it say that it's the best/one of the best driving games ever. I've played it and I disagree (so does my dad and he's a driving game fanatic).
All Call of Duties from WaW on.
There was once(is?) a V1? Huh, I feel stupid.
Anyway, I don't mind driving games. But when I play one I want it to be a fun, racing game. Driving simulators are boring, and getting less original and creative each release.
There was, created by this very, very, very awesome guy.

Well, it died long enough ago for everyone to move on. And long enough for someone else to get the same idea.
Men of War > Company of Heroes.

CoH = YOU HAVE A TANK THAT SAYS ITS BAD AGAINST INFANTRY SO IT'S SHIT
MoW = You have a tank, that's it for the infantry, they will probably get tanks too now, so you best prepare.

Hell it's still a fun and great game..
I mean, it's not bad. I like it, but it's pretty overrated.

there's only a few actually overrated game becuase there's only a few games that EVERYONE plays,

wasn't overrated , just overhyped and dissapointing
Minecraft
I mean, the game is good and I like it too, but so many people go so goddamn crazy about it
Either Halo 3 or Modern Warfare 2, can't really decide.
spore was a huge disappointment
modern warfare 2 was a disappointment in the long run
operation flashpoint 2 was also massively disappointing
i personally was disappointed with mass effect 2 as well; i played through the first mass effect a good 8 times but after i beat mass effect 2 i couldn't bring my self to play through it again, something about it just wasnt there for me, probably the resource mining.
Fable. all of them.
The entire Call of Duty series, frankly.
The first game was solid and definitely good, but I don't believe it deserved all the credit it got. I can't think of a single new element that it brought to the genre. The cinematic angle in the single player was well executed but the vast majority of the set pieces were near carbon copies of scenes from many different World War II movies and miniseries'. And the lauded "no one fights alone" angle, while somewhat uncommon for the time, was nothing new either. Likewise, the multiplayer was solid but formulaic with little to distinguish it from other, similar games, at least until United Offensive came along (and even that, while very fun, wasn't very original).
The second game was just more of the same with a coat of paint (and totally ignored the improvements United Offensive brought to multiplayer). Number three was quite inconsequential and Call of Duty 4 (or "MW1") had some nice ideas, but everything that came after was just a tired rehash. World at War? Its single player may as well just be called Call of Duty: Darker and Edgier and its multiplayer is essentially Call of Duty 4 in a time warp to the 1940s. And as for Modern Warfare 2? Call of Duty: Michael Bay Edition.
