This thread is for the gamers who want to try the classics... By "classics" i mean pre-N64/PS1. NES, SNES, MegaDrive/Genesis, Gameboy, and even before that.
To get the ball rolling, I'll start off. The early Mario and Zelda games are fantastic, and if you have an old system I suggest you give them a go!

Chrono Trigger - One of the few true RPGs that I've played obsessively. It's an awesome game.
Sam and Max Hit The Road - Twisted, hilarious and just plain fun. Imagine Monkey Island if Lucasarts had binged on Pina Coladas and cheap cider for a week.
