Crysis 2 has confirmed a new CryEngine 3 Sandbox thing or something.
Its release is definite for the PC, and it will also be live (More people can be making and playing the thing
all at once) which is super cool.
But I'm now confused wether or not sandbox is actually going to end up on consoles somehow.
My question came from the end of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-D9oINHI11E
at around 1:20, the live create. It shows the Cryengine 3 sandbox at the top and then the realtime creating
with the console names under both. And this could work too, since they could simply add a mouse feature and badda boom it wouldnt be too hard, just like the way PS3 internet browser works.
Does anyone have something that is DEFINATELY confirming yes or no?
Or if you have something to say, dump it here anyway
The "Sandbox" was more of a simpler level editor. So, I do not think it will be on the consoles.
And adding mouse support wouldn't happen onthe Xbox so I doubt it will exist at all of both Xbox and PS3 canno have it.
In the video it was referring to game developers, since this was shown at GDC.
Sadly when they shown the map editor they were talking about tech stuff to get potential licensees to get cryengine 3 for features such as on the go map testing on consoles, instead of the gaming community. And its already confirmed the console versions will lack a map editor (Thus surrendering people who buy on consoles to $30 DLC map packs)
Well thats too bad, because with effort it could work too. I'm buying it for PC anyway. My PC is better than my consoles. I can run Crysis on Maximum graphics. Or any game for that matter. Might aswell make it look sexy on PC
I think it would be funny for them to release the Sandbox with no restrictions and watch all the kids burn out their Xbox and PS3s by having to many props.
Why would you even consider buying it on a console if you can run it on your PC on maximum graphics?
Also, I for some reason never seen that video in the OP, that deformation is sex.
Are the system requirements reasonable?

Does the pope shit in the woods?
I thought Crysis was too intense for consoles
Apparently the PC version of Crysis 2 runs better then Crysis 1 even though the graphics are improved.

Crysis wasn't optimized very well.
I'm not patient enough to figure out how to use the crysis sandbox. I couldn't even figure out how to spawn shit and make cool stuff happen, let alone get a like flatmap so I can fuck around. I'm too used to garrysmod actually having a UI that is easy to figure out.

I'm pretty sure you had to use all console commands to spawn objects.
Yeah they had to optimize the code shitloads to get it running on consoles, and that resulted in the PC version to be optimized as well....
I hate people who know shit and post stuff like "derp conzilsd gaem :downs:"

Er no. You just click on an object in the rollup bar (aka the menu system on the side).
Sandbox 2 is one of the easiest professional level editors out there to use. Trying using something old and/or archaic like Hammer and the UDK editor, then come back to Sandbox lol
