MMORPG developed by Ankama of Dofus fame and published by Square Enix. It is set in the same world as Dofus but it is not the same game or something like that.
It literally just went in open beta.
I wanna play with other people so you should all play it also.
Instead of being dumb like SWTOR which is a WoW clone it is original and free and turn-based tactical.
I will put more effort into this if there is any interest.

It's still Wakfu related but i've been watching the french cartoon of this and it's rather good, i haven't tried the MMO but the cartoon is good in my opinion.
There is a MMO section, wouldn't this be better there?
It's a turn-based MMORPG (the fights are at least) and it's a niche market.
Personally, I fucking loved Dofus, and I love[B]d[/B] Wakfu. But, it's been in around 3-4 separate betas for 4+ years, resetting each time it went into a new beta.
Not just a character wipe, but basically a "let's start over with everything we've ever made!" wipe.
I think the most recent closed beta/wipe was because Square Enix took over as publisher or something.
I do urge everyone to give this a chance though.
While it does seem Anime-y, it IS french, which in my mind excuses it to some extent. I normally despise everything anime.
The most unique aspects of the game are:

-The Ecosystem - creatures eat plants and other creatures, and even breed. Populations can be wiped out and/or be way overpopulated.
-The spells have their own levels, and so do you. Your spells get better the more you use them.
-There's a government system. Players elect a governor to govern for 2 weeks, where he can set taxes, laws, use powers to make it rainy/sunny, provide rewarding challenges in regions, etc.
-You have to craft your own money! Money doesn't drop from enemies, and its not give for quests (which also practically don't exist)
-Building on the previous one, everything is basically reliant on the players: the economy, the ecosystem, items, etc.

Oh yeah, as I mentioned in my post, I generally despise Anime (a good chunk of it is the Japanese/Chinese language. The sound of it just really bothers me. Like nails on a chalkboard), but I really like the Wakfu animated series.
It seems to be better animated/higher quality than most asian anime, and the French is nice and soothing to my ears.

Take, for instance, the Pandawa class/race. They're drunken warriors. In Dofus, they revolve around beer. In Wakfu, they revolve[I]d[/I] around beer, but now its milk, or fermented milk, or something. And all the inns server various kinds of "Root Beer" and such instead of beer, like they used to.
Yet you can still see the animals doing it.

speaking of which what are the differences between dofus and wakfu
i played dofus a long time ago but i don't remember anything, pretty sure it also had a turn-based strategy combat system
also i don't see how something being asian makes it bad
that's kind of insulting to say that it has an anime style but it's "excused" because it's actually european

I remember having fun with Dofus. Made 5 characters, only the summoner guy got past level 20.

Is what the world used to look like, back in [B]2007[/B].
All those crops, trees, and plants? Player planted.
Now, you can only plant crops and animals in regions where they're already located. Not to mention, there's no landmass this big in the current version of Wakfu.
I'm definitely not one to hide my disappointment in the changes that have happened since the first beta.

Also, I've been reading through the old French Dev Blog (because the English ones are missing) and There was an Open Beta back in October 30 of 2007.
This game has gone through a lot of change, and it's definitely been for the worse.
