Tastes like Vanilla is a guild on Stormscale EU. We're the ones who miss classic raiding, the only true joy of WoW. We do not allow TBC/WOTLK items, enchants and so on. I played the original and I enjoy the game far more now.
Eventually, thought it might take a while and won't matter after 3.2, you're all going to hit 61 in a vanilla raid.

Or we're not. We play with classic accounts. And in 3.2 you can lock all xp gain.
#Disabling experience gains will prevent a player from gaining experience through any means available in the game.

I never got a character above 25 in classic.
I do miss the mystery and excitement of "max level" but that's not really nostalgia...
There is already a guild that do this on my server "can't affort tbc"
Yerh I do miss being 1 shot constantly in pvp, having to wait several hours for a raid to form then having to carry half the people through because they're slackers.
Oh and I also miss warriors being the only tanks and every hybrid having to go healing spec.
Same with shad priests.
Pre-tbc really wasn't that great. The game is so much better now.

The last I played was in December 2007, around the release of tBC.

That is a bit unfair but yerh.
I really don't see why people complain so much in Wrath- if you want to be casual then do the 10 mans.
If you want to be hardcore and have all the best gear in the game then do hardmodes/25 mans.
Simple as.
Of course I miss WoW back when I first got in it. Way before TBC was even announced.
I remembered saying to myself "This is all you do in this game? Just kill wolves all day? How boring". Was such a noob back then.
That was when it felt godly to have an epic mount. So much speed. No dumb towering mammoths you can only get for raiding.. so stupid! Back then, cash was all you needed.
I loved old school WoW.
I'm amazed there aren't any decent pre-TBC private servers.

Naxxramas was the last raid dungeon added to Vanilla WoW, it was considered the hardest and even at level 70 proved challenging for groups that wanted to clear it.
Now it's in Northrend and is a level 80 raid instance and unavailable in it's classic, pre-tbc form.
Theres a Vanilla WoW guild on my realm called Oldschool, gonna lvl my rogue to 60 and join it :D (In the next patch that is)

I've watched duelling 80's and it doesn't really look fun for them either.
Yesterday we had a paladin as off-tank in AQ20.
We got 2 Shadow priests doing damage.
And no.

Anyone who says that level 60 raids (even Naxxramas) is harder than Sunwell or 0 Keeper Yogg are delusional. WotLK hasn't offered anything (other than 0 keeper Yogg) that is comparable to the difficulty of Sunwell, though that's likely just because we've got two more raid instances this expansion.
As far as the actual topic goes, a bit, but I know that's just nostalgia. I do wish there was a way to go back to a complete classic WoW though, the new talents just wreck your chances of having a legitimate level 60 guild; the classic talents suck so much compared to what we have now. Even if you only allow people to go so far in a talent tree, the talents are still vastly better.

The lower teir talents have been changed and been buffed a large amount since pre-bc.

Yeah, and the bosses has gotten a 30% nerf.
That's why we downed Onyxia with 17 ppl first time.
Ragnaros was downed with 19
I never played vanilla WoW, a lot of people say I'm missing out on it. It looks a lot better than WoW now, though.
