118 in one, 135 in one, two very peculiar Game Boy Advance games.

You ever have a Game Boy Advance? I don't have one any more, sold em' to friends after I got an SP, and later a DS Lite. Anyway, when my father came home from the Philippines after a vacation trip, or well, rather to go back home, he came back with two very odd looking games. I already listed them in the title, and I used a pretty shitty webcam to take the images, so they're not in crystal clear quality, sorry.

Okay, this is really bad quality, I'll have to tell you what's on it, but at least use that as a visual. This one (#118) says "Digimon Battle Spirit 2" on the left, "Pokemon Leaf Green Version" in the middle, and
"118IN1
2A-11805
NO REPEAT"
And, on the bottom, there is the pictures, Pokemon Leaf Green, Digimon Battle Spirit 2, RoboCop (GBA) and F-1 2002 (GBA). RoboCop is there, but it's not what you'd expect. F-1 Racing ultimately isn't there at all. The other two are ported on there just fine. So, here we go, these are two fully blown games, on one cartridge. The start up screen works just fine. Looks like it how it normally would.

So, we open up here, and get a black and white, mundane looking black screen with text.

As you can see, it's just a list of all the games, with three digit numbers according to their placement. The two title screen games that I mentioned are there
001. Pokemon Leaf Green
002. Digimon Battle Spirit 2 (Listed as Digimon Battle 2)
And RoboCop, what I meant by NOT Robocop, is that these are NES ports of Robocop.
003. RoboCop 3
004. RoboCop 2
005. Robocop (Listed as RoboCop 1)
All three, working perfectly fine, on one cartridge. So, those are the title games, but no promised F-1 2002. Underneath those, are more games.

What I forgot to mention, the games are also marked by a single asterisk to the left, showing which one you have your figurative cursor on. Also, the first two games are different from all the rest of the games. They are both Game Boy Advance Games, and both have no title screen in the background when scrolled over. This title screen belongs to RoboCop 3, the music is all there too. Oh, and everything is in capital letters.

Here's another one, one of the games not pictured on the cartridge. This is Arkanoid, another NES game. Arkanoid is probably one of the most identifiable out of these games.
006. Arkanoid
It goes all the way down to the promised 118, stylishly, the asterisk moves down too. The games are as follows
001. POKEMON LEAF GREEN --It is what it is.
002. DIGIMON BATTLE 2 -- Same thing.
003. ROBOCOP 3
004. ROBOCOP 2
005. ROBOCOP 1
006. ARKANOID -- A really fun game, I have to say.
007. ASTRO ROBO SASA -- I've never heard of this game. You shoot balloons and shit.
008. CHINESE CHESS -- I don't read Chinese, this game probably had no North American release.
009. DUCK -- Never heard of this either.
010. ELEVATOR -- This is a "what the fuck" kind of game.
011. GE MOUS -- Starship shooter game.
012. GYRODINE -- Helicopter game.
013. LOT LOT -- Another "what the fuck" game, I can't explain it at all.
014. MONOPOLY -- A really shitty version of Monopoly, I don't know what the shit is happening.
015. MS PAC MAN (Ms. Pac-Man) -- Pacman, except, Ms. Pac-Man.
016. MUSICIAM -- Written in Japanese, some crappy music game, I don't know what the hell goes on.
017. OTHELLO -- Well, Othello.
018. PACHINCO (Pachiconi(?)) -- The letters are all fucked up in this game.
019. Pacman II (Ms. Pac-Man) -- Same thing, except by a ripoff company Tengen.
020. PENGIUN WARS -- Written in Japanese, then Wars. Wonder if that really says penguin.
021. PONY CAT -- Written in Japanese, then Town. So, !@#$ Town. Not even Pony Cat.
022. ROUTE-16 -- Says Turbo on it, looks like it borrows sprites from Zippy Race.
023. SEICROSS (SECROSS) -- This was made by a Japanese company, I'm guessing they meant SeaCross.
024. SPELUNKER -- Looks pretty, but I have no idea how to play.
025. TETRIS 1 (Tetris) -- Tetris, the very original. Fuck yeah!
026. TERTIS 2 (Tetris) -- Probably the Tengen one, actually, I think this version is better.
027. THEXDER (THEXDES(?)) -- Some weird game where you can transform into a plane.
028. VOLLEY BALL -- Hard as shit.
029. ZIPPY RACE -- Well, that ROUTE-16 game didn't borrow from this, it was another race game.
030. 3D BLOCK -- Wait just one second, is this a silhouette of a naked chick?

Was this originally there? Anyway, this is pretty much 3D Tetris. Ever hear of the Virtual Boy?
031. CITY CONNECTION -- Crazy car game, what the shit is all I have to say.
032. ANTARCTIE ADVANTURE -- Yeah, it's spelled right on the title. This, oddly enough borrows sprites from Penguin Wars, or well, !@#$ Wars I guess.
033. ARABIAN -- Haven't talked about it yet, but this plays like Popeye.
034. 4 CARD GAMES -- Well, definitely four card games. Written in Japanese, so who the fuck knows what it really is called.
035. 10 YARD FIGHT (10-yard fight) -- Might as well just've called it Football (Gridiron)
036. CHACK'N POP-- Yeah, it's really called that.
037. CHESS -- This isn't chess, it's Japanese Chess.
038. CIRCUS CHABCIE (Circus Charlie) -- Well, I actually got into this game. The first time, you get like a thousand lives. The second time you play, you get only three. The sprites were glitched as hell too.
039. CLU CLU LAND -- You control the red thing, pretty weird.
040. COMBAT (Field COMBAT) -- Seems you're this tank, and you shoot the hell out of people and suck them into your lair to rape them. Odd, because it seems you're more of the antagonist than the hero.
041. COWELLRY -- Wow, the full name just scrolls letter by letter, then the game starts without pressing start.
042. BALLOON FIGHT -- Balloon Fight, I think this should be somewhat recognizable.
043. BALLOON MARIO -- Balloon Fight, with Mario.
044. BASEBALL -- Baseball.
045. BATTLE CITY -- A fucking awesome tank game.
046. BATTLE CITY 2 -- I wonder if this really is the sequel, both have different producers.
047. BINARY LAND -- A head-spinning game, whatever you do on one side you do to the other. Like Algebra.
048. BIRD WEEK -- A game where you feed your birds, simple enough.
049. BOMB SWEEPER -- A game as simple as this looks like it played on Game n' Watch at one point. You defuse bombs. Mockingly, my brother said the modern equivalent would have been Counter Strike's DE game mode.
050. BOMBER MARIO -- You bomb people, I guess that would mean you were a terrorist.
051. BOMBER MAN -- Same thing, probably the original.
052. BRUSH ROLLER -- You brush the whole lands, with a magical brush.
053. BUBBLE DIG DUG -- It's just Dig Dug, where's the Bubble in it?
054. BURGER TIME -- A game where you make very large burgers.
055. EXECITE BIKE (Excite Bike) -- Should be EASILY recognizable if you were there when it was the shit.
056. EXERION -- Another Space shooter.
057. DEFENDER 2 (DEFENDERII) -- Yet another space shooter.
058. DEVIL WORLD -- Fight the devil.
059. DIG DUG -- The same fucking thing, exactly. They were just making fillers, maybe they thought 117 didn't seem like enough.
060. DONALD MAGIC -- Burger Time, with Ronald McDonald.
061. DONKEY KONG 1 (Donkey Kong) -- Donkey Kong, the game that started Mario.
062. DONKEY KONG 2 (Donkey Kong Jr.) -- Was this Donkey Kong 2?
063. DONKEY KONG 3 (Donkey Kong 3) -- This time you use pepper spray against the ape.
064. DONKEY KONG JR LESSON (Donkey Kong Jr.) Yup, another shameless doubling technique.
065. DONKEY KONG JR MATH -- A math version of the game, I have no idea what to do.
066. GALAGE (Galaga) -- Man fuck me, I wasted over twenty dollars on that godforsaken Galaga machine.
067. GALAXIAN -- Like Space Invaders without the earlier walls holding you back.
068. GAME GENIE -- Well, looks like Game Genie. I've never tried it out to see if it actually works.
069. Golf -- Golf. Sounds interesting.
070. F1-RACE -- Feels like Rad Racer. I think they stole the sounds from Top Gun. Is this the promised game? No, it's not, I doubt this game was released on 2002. Also, the racing flag covers the F-1 on the cover. Yeah, no kidding.
071. FORMATION Z (F-Z) -- You can also transform into a plane in this game.
072. FRONT LINE -- Looks like some Japanese guy with grenades and a gun, he fights tanks that are the same size as him.
073. ICE CLIMBER -- Yeah, Ice Climber, you know this.
074. HOGAN'S ALLEY -- I think this needed the Nintendo Zapper to work. I doubt I can plug one of those into my DS, let alone my Game Boy Advance.
075. KARATEKA -- Somebody out there has a Karateka avatar. Also, ever watch Dragon Ball Z? The guy who you play as looks like Jeice from the Ginyu Force.
076. KNIGHTS IN FIGHT -- Doesn't have the title on the title screen, it's a Japanese guy who throws nunchuks. Or, you know, chucks them.
077. KUNG FU (Kung-Fu) -- You play as a ginger guy with pink shorts.
078. JAPANESE CHESS -- Well, once again written in Japanese, this is a different version of the Chess game.
079. JOUST -- Joust the other birds.
080. MACROSS -- Written fully in Japanese, a space shooter. Not half bad actually.
081. MAJONG 2 -- Where's Majong? Also written in Japanese.
082. MAJONG 4 -- Where's Majong 3? Written in, you guessed it, Japanese.
083. MAPPY -- You're a mouse or some shit like that.
084. MARIA SISS -- All of those Mario converted games earlier I had not payed attention to, but this game was created in 1999, it was hacked to have sprites of women. Feels tons more slippery than the original.
085. MARIO & LUIGI -- Yet another 1999 hack, a hack of Nuts & Milk, featuring the Mario Bros.
086. MARIO BROS MAPPY -- Another hack, using Mario instead of a mouse.
087. MARIO BROTHERS -- A Mario Brothers, I think this used to have a title screen, it disappeared this time around.
088. MILK AND NUTS (Nuts & Milk) -- I never really got how to play this game.
089. MILLIPECIE -- Shoot the hell out of bugs.
090. MUSCLE -- A really weird game, some guy has a review of this out there.
091. LOAD RUNNER 1 (Lode Runner) -- So, Load or Lode? Who gives a shit, I never really played this game that much.
092. LOAD RUNNER 2 (Lode Runner) -- Well, I think they're different companies or some shit like that.
093. LUNAR BALL (LunarBall) -- A clone of Lunar Pool, uses the same font too. This one has no TM.
094. LUNAR POOL -- The real one, they actually put clones together like this?
095. PAC PAC LAND -- A ripoff of Clu Clu Land, except with a badly drawn Pac Man. Another clone, and another hack, by one of the guys who did one of those Mario hacks.
096. PAC-MAN REMIX -- What the hell did they remix? Looks like the same game. Were the ghosts named in the original game?
097. PACMAN (Pac-man) -- Well, having this game from the Philippines, I have to say Manny Pacquiao. Also, the characters are named differently.
098. PIN BALL -- Pinball, but it sucks ass.
099. POOYAN -- Are these Hello Kitty characters? I don't get it.
100. POPEYE -- Talked about this one earlier, basically you collect hearts, and occasionally get the Steroid-enhanced spinach and beat the shit out of Brutus who follows you around and tries to beat the shit out of your weakling form.
101. POPEYE NO EIGO ASOBI -- Written in Japanese, and well, it's a word game of some sort. Maybe it teaches English?
102. PYRAMID -- Looks like Tetris, but overcomplicated. Goddamn triangles.
103. NIBBLES -- Holy shit, this is Snake. It's really good, but takes like twenty-thirty minutes to beat, then it recurs. Not bad!
104. NIGHT ARROW -- Written in Japanese, looks like Galaxian, albeit you can choose how hard it is.
105. NINJA -- Written in Japanese, you're this puny ninja in red, who fights other puny ninjas in black, all while climbing up a mountain. Not as fun as it sounds.
106. SKY DESTROYER -- A fun dogfight game.
107. SPACE INVADER (Space Invaders) -- Well, the y in play is upside down, I don't think this is a legitimate game.
108. STAR FORCE -- A space shooter.
109. STAR GATE -- Another space shooter.
110. RABBIT AND ROPE (Rabbit and Rofe) -- Looks as if the girl on the front screen is some erotic anime character or something. Same guy who hacked one of the previous Mario games. As a matter of fact, there are absolutely no real Mario games, just shitty hacks.
111. RAID ON BUNGELING BAY -- Looking at this now, I instantly think "Raid on Bunghole Bay". It's an over head shooter, with a helicopter.
112. ROAD FIGHTER -- Ah, this is the game that I thought was Zippy Race. You are the evil red cars in this game, and the blue car that you were in the other game is now your adversaries.
113. URBAN CHAMPION -- Beat the fuck out of everyone, but watch out for the fuzz!
114. TAIWAN MAJONG4 -- Fuck you Majong.
115. TANK SET (TANK E 1992) -- Is this another Battle City? A clone perhaps?
116. TENNIS -- Fuck yes, Tennis. Plays like the Wii version.
117. YPROJECT MARIO RUNNER -- Same goddamn thing as Lode Runner, except, yeah, you're Mario. Fuck Mario.
118. WAHREN 18 -- Yeah, they kept to their word and provided 118 games. We can scratch some off the list for being clones though. This is some block pushing puzzle game. It's written in, Russian I think. What the fuck?
Well, that's all I'm going to do for now. This thing took like, two-three hours to make, I'm going to take a break. Some final words about all of this, and stuff I haven't said before. To exit each game, you press L and R simultaneously. It brings up this menu, and if you try and go back, it freezes unless you change something.

B autofire: OFF/ON/With R
A autofire: OFF/ON/With R
Controller: 1P/2P/Link2P/Link3P/Link4P (Yeah, buy four copies of the game)
Display: SCALED/SCALED (w/sprites)/UNSCALED
Link Transfer
Manage SRAM
Save State
Load State
Sleep
Restart
.........................................................................................................................................VisualNES v2b
So, as far as I know, you can't open this screen on the first two games. All the ones under Display don't do jack, Sleep sleeps, but doesn't wake up no matter what you do, and Restart brings you back to the menu.
If you go to Wahren 18 and wait, it'll turn the screen blue when you press down for the first two games.
The first two games save, Pokemon is manual, and Digimon is automatic. Digimon never saves ever, and Pokemon only keeps its saves if you don't play another game. I went and got Leaf Green by itself.
I looked up 118 in 1 games, and I found this. www.games-stock.com/.../edutainment-ds-multi-pack-118-games-in-1-cartridge-p-1226.html This is a DS version ripoff, and the site is Singaporean.
I looked up VisualNES v2b, and I found this Obscure Research Project site. Now taken down, I had to use the google cache. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:qk7Q_GRD8goJ:torp.110mb.com/game100in1gba.html+VisualNES+v2b&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a
He managed to get a 100 in 1, which I call #100, who knows what other types of games there are. Also, the game just turned black on me, crashes every now and then. That site is pretty informative, apparently there is another one called PocketNES. Who the fuck knows what other ones there are? This guy, got really fucking lucky and got all of the original Pokemon games, Contra, Super Mario bros. He got some of the same shit I got too. Where in the fuck was he? Where in the fuck was my dad? Maybe you can get these types of things in America too.
Who knows, there's some obscure piracy going on, and I guess I managed to snag some pretty rare games, even though they might've just been ported onto a Game Boy Advance cart from a computer. Why are there so many different versions too? Also, that guy must have had pictures, too bad we'll never see them again, website was taken down. Another guy too seems to have #120,
Not much else to say, any questions, can you answer mine? Got any games that look like this? Also, just to answer one that might be asked, I wrote the line up exactly how the game wrote it.
Edit 1: This is a flash cartridge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Boy_Advance_flash_cartridge
Another thing, #100's site is incorrect, I got this flash cart before April 2006, maybe around 2003-4 when my dad came home with it.
#135 will come soon.
It's a bunch of roms on one cart, nothing new.
also ggd
Pirate games on a ROM.
Welcome to the world of Flash carts. Enjoy your stay.
It's a bunch of roms on one cart, nothing new.
also ggd
Yeah, but that's General Games Discussion, this is kind of different, it's more like a Show and Tell. I doubt anyone else has seen this exact game.
Also, thanks for telling me what it was. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Boy_Advance_flash_cartridge
I remember you could get these abroad, street vendors used to sell them.
Sweet, nice catch.
That is literally the worst photography i have ever seen, but well done for listing and describing every one of the 118 games!
Can you please take less shitty pictures.
I have one of these for my old gameboy.
That is literally the worst photography i have ever seen, but well done for listing and describing every one of the 118 games!
Damn, I never was a good photographer, but I was kind of lazy with it. I didn't want to go and get my camera. Also, thanks, it was pretty easy to describe all of the games, as I've played the game countless times. I'll update the pictures tomorrow, newly taken in HD.
[editline]19th November 2010[/editline]
I have one of these for my old gameboy.
Another flash cart? What was it titled?
[editline]19th November 2010[/editline]
Edit:
like 90% of the games are in Japanese, nevermind, that's pretty shitty.
As a firsthand player of the game, I have to agree with you. Some of the games are filler clones, and some are virtually unplayable.
Anyway, when my father came home from the Philippines
Explains alot, I used to live there and pirated games were everywhere. Even a store inside a mall said "We mod XBOX 360s"
Explains alot, I used to live there and pirated games were everywhere. Even a store inside a mall said "We mod XBOX 360s"
I didn't know piracy in the Philippines was that common. Now that I think of it, flash carts are probably really common. It would be impossible to have all of them.
I think I see the Sasquatch in the first picture!
Nice find..
but, shovelware and warez..
I had something similar for my Gameboy colour, except it was shitty Game and Watch type games.
I used to buy these all the time at the street vendors back in Malaysia, I must have 20 or so cartridges lying around somewhere.
I used to buy these all the time at the street vendors back in Malaysia, I must have 20 or so cartridges lying around somewhere.
Haha, you get them everywhere here.
I remember seeing a 201-in-one.
This is the kind of thing that would make a good creepypasta.
Interesting find.
My dad went to Kuwait about.... 5-6 years back, and ended up sending me a PS2 [sp]With region protection off, it turns out[/sp] and a huge stack of games that he got for dirt-cheap. Turns out, most of them were pirate games, [sp]He got them from some market in Kuwait[/sp] and many were in foreign languages, so that kind of put a damper on things.
On the plus side, I was able to purchase and play an actual copy of the Kingdom Hearts 2 Special Edition (I can never remember the title). :buddy:
