I was playing Super Mario World (Snes) the other day and I thought about how cool it would be to play co-op with another person at the same time on a level. So my question is; are there any side scrollers that you can play online with other people?
Maple Story hurr hurr I can't think of any others right now.
Trine is a pretty recent co-op side scroller.
LBP for PS3.

Don't know if Bionic Commando: Rearmed's co-op is online but if you have someone to play it with then it's great.
Metal Slug Anthology for PS2, and if you have no ps2 then Metal Slug 3 on XBLA which even has online coop.

Trine looks great. I might get it on Steam sometime.
Trine doesn't have online co-op, only local. Even for PC.
Awww. Well it still looks fun, I'll try the demo.
Cortex Command with out the online :(
I love Cortex Command, but I don't think they'll ever make it online :[
How are you all forgetting Castle Crashers? Extremely fun 2d side-scroller, lots of weapons, animals, and characters you can unlock!
