Could We All Please Stop Being So Elitist and Just Chill a Little? - Games

Going through all the threads in this sub-forum, there are so many arguments and flames back and forth because of people being elitist or thinking they know more about the game than others. There's a lot of people like that on my realm (and I guess on every other realm), but I thought players would act more mature and helpful in a more civilized setting such as a forum rather than Trade chat. But it's just the same here, you can't ask a simple question without being told you're a scrub or being told that you suck at the game because you didn't play pre-BC. You sound like the guys that get on their fucking mammoths and sit on the post box. I decided to make this thread because I was going to post my UI in the 'Post your UI' thread and ask for some help but I figured I would get flamed the fuck out of, because I used Xperl for example (I don't even know if I should be using it or not because of all the conflicting opinions in that thread). Then, reading the 'Post your armory' thread, people are getting raped because they have green gems or a bit of a mixed up talent tree. Instead of putting your effort into flaming them, why not put your effort into helping them set their tree up right, or put your effort into actually considering the fact that higher-end gems costs money which isn't that easy to get for some people. This is a forum, this is Facepunch, we're supposed to be a community. It'd be nice if we could come here to actually find some help instead of Dumb and Disagree ratings. Anyone actually agree with me or are you all a bunch of cunts? :v:

GeeBee, I can agree with you to an extent. Some threads have made me lol because of the argument being had, but sometimes it is just simply trying to get at the other person which is so unnecessary and unconstructive. varj, similar thing, most of the time it's just flaming the poor guy. Let him know it, sure, but then tell him where he can do better. It isn't that hard. What I am trying to say is, where is the :love:? Well, these WoW sections are full of kinda bad people anyway, who just troll to act tough. Most of UI-posters are clickers, most of armory-link posters have 0-1000rating arenateams with more losses than wins, and so on. So I don't mind these people "Being Elitist" :P
