• Help test my game! "Arcane: The Yamarian Nights" (Testing Phase 2)

In this case, "Arcane" is my best self-made game yet. It was going to be originally called "Arcane, Stealth & Power Volume One: The Siege on the Spiritual Plane" but I decided that due to my laziness I'd just make a tech demo out of it, spanning one city - heavily inspired by "Arabian Nights" and movies like Aladdin. It's not too shabby of a city, the real reason for a tech demo is the pedestrians. They're dumb, but their appearance is completely randomized - different hats, beards, shirts, pants, moustaches...using a system called "Pedestrian Randomization Engine" (P.R.E) I can generate 1000 pedestrians a minute. It's the thing I'm most proud of, even when this game IS made in Construct and not hard-coded. So this game? You're a hybrid of a swordsman and mage. Use fireballs, frostbolts, deathbeams, thunderstorms, shields and your trusty sword to do whatever you want. Just remember, killing pedestrians will cause a city-wide panic. [b]CTRL[/b] puts it off again. N & M - Debug commands, you can speed and slow time with these Z & X - Zoom in and out F - Spawn physics-enabled barrels which crush anyone beneath them P - Debug command, spawn additional pyl- um, pedestrians [b]E[/b] - Use your HOT AIR BALLOON. Doubletap to activate. It's a method of faster travel. The guy in a towel is a GUARD. He's trying to escort you out of the city. The guy who looks like an arab is a BANDIT. He's also trying to escort you out of the city instead of killing you, for some reason. SPELLS: 2 - Fireball (mouse-controlled) 3 - Deathbeam (mouse-controlled) 4 - Heal, doesn't do anything 5 - Thundercloud (mouse-controlled) 6 - Frostbolt (mouse-controlled) 7 - Shield [b]SO WHAT DO I WANT FROM YOU?[/b] Test this game out, report any bugs and issues, glitches etc. This game is going to my portfolio and I needed a dedicated test group. Woops! Somehow the camera bugged. I can't fix it until tomorrow, but I'll look into it then.
Well, when you go all the way to the left then you get to an edge that when you jump down from you will fall infinitely. Also, there are a lot of people that seem to be invulnerable. Oh, and just now i flew around a bit in the hot air balloon, and then i suddenly got out of the balloon somehow while flying around, so that the balloon was at another place than i was. I will try and get a screenshot of it.
Yeah I'll add a wall there. Never heard of that second glitch though.
That happens a lot, the balloon is probably using a different collision type than the player sprite inside it.
I think I remember this it seems familiar. Downloading. BUG: no keyboard or mouse use on menu, it loads and no key nor movement or click does anything.
Said it in the GMF, and I'll say it again; this is awesome, I can't wait for release!
Alright, so there's a couple of bugs I'll fix today. Namely, the camera glitch (relating to screen margin settings) and then adding a return to menu / restart level button.
Hey! I use construct too, i aint good at making games all myself, i usually loose interest when i do so. (The main issue is lazyness with spriting/animation) I can do levels and alot of coding, can i join the fun and help with this game?
