Is it wrong that I think this is WAY better than GTA 4?
Jazz Jackrabbit series. The games are great, but they seem so forgotten and abandoned.

Hexen. It's pretty much a medieval-themed Doom (look at the ID software logo lol) with some RPG elements. I used to use ZDoom to host Hexen LAN servers that me and my bro would play on, which was pretty fun.
Portal
People were complaining about "How it was fucking short", yet the same problem happens in MW2 (not to mention the other problems), and yet it gets a higher score.

Most people that play Day of Defeat anymore are hardcore fans, and it never really had too giant of a fanbase. It's a solid game though.

Even though Gamespot gave it a 9.0 on the rating scale, The "Best Looking Game on PS2, Period" award, and the #1 best game of 2003 award, still no body had any idea what it was, This game was (and still is) awesome, Deserved all its awards it got, too bad I lost my game disc. :frown:

In my opinion THE best beat em up of all time, it's funny as hell, it has a large learning curve and requires actual effort to play the game. You can customize your moves, you can fucking kick a gay black man at a wall with the force of a thousand suns.

There's a lot of games from my childhood that I don't hear about today. Shadow Warrior, Blood, Hexen, Heretic, and the list goes on.
I don't know. Among my friends GTA4 is underrated because "San Andreas was sooo much better because it had gangstas".
