My dad bought me a used copy of MW2 a while ago and I recently got it in the mail. He bought it from Ebay though and I guess the fucktard who last had it didn't know that the CD Key can only be activated once. Steam says they can reset the activation key if I have the receipt of purchase which, of course, I don't. Is there any other way I can get a CD key or should I just trash the useless disk now?
If you paid by Paypal on Ebay, file a dispute, and do it quickly otherwise it may be declined and you won't get your money back.

Don't you get a receipt via email after you've purchased said product?

My Dad might have, it's been about 3 weeks since he got it and shipped it to me though. I might be declined like xxncxx said since it's been a while.

Try to find that email then and message steam support.
You have 45 days since the purchase to open a dispute.
Lesson to be learned: When buying games that need activated online (Steam, GFWL) never buy from eBay and always make sure to buy New.
Yeah I sure learned my lesson pal. Never let my dad buy games for me before consulting me. :downs:

There's only 30 people playing Battlefield 2142 1.51 at the same time. I play it every day.
What was your point again?
