Well, don't they technically do it with World of Warcraft? Since Activision owns (or at least has a very big share of) Blizzard? Answering to title. Need to read op.

Sure they won't. Not today. Not ever. But i guess "ever" has another meaning in Activisions book.

He said they'll never charge monthly fees for Call of Duty, not multiplayer games in general.

Kotick can't just do whatever he wants, especially when he keeps ruining the company's public image with his bullshit. Chances are that if the company says no, it's no.

Like I trust Activision to keep to their word anyway.

they never said they wouldn't charge for singleplayer

I couldn't have rated "disagree" harder enough.

X-box will though.

I don't really think this will be the truth in a few years when they announce their new CoD to have a subscription. Then everyone will dig up this interview and call them liars, but Activision will hide it or cover it up and will still make an ungodly amount of money. :saddowns:
