Fallout 3, Dogmeat & Jericho disappear after I purify the water for "Project Impurity"

So here's the deal, I beat the last mission of the main story (if you don't have Broken Steel DLC. I do have it, so it went to broken steel after the mission and let me keep playing). I had Jericho and Dogmeat with me, I enter the code 2-1-6 on the console thingy like you're supposed to do and it does the whole little "So this is the end yadayadada" "2 weeks later yadedadeda"
I wake up look at Sentinel Lyons ass. I go on with my business... I realize Dogmeat and Jericho are gone. I go to Vault 101 to look for Dogmeat, he's not there. I go to Megaton to look for Jericho, he's not there.
I decide that they died and then I donated like 1000 caps to the Church of Atom in Megaton to get "Very Good" karma. I go to the Museum of History to hire Fawkes.
He says he would join me but my other follower would need to go or some shit like that. Now I'm wondering where the fuck Jericho and Dogmeat are.
I already checked back in the Rotunda where we were together last.
There might be a console command to get rid of them somehow (even though you don't see them) if you are on the PC.
That happened to me when I was ambushed by the Encalve in Vault 87.
try this

They don't like you because you poisoned the water that they piss in.
I am playing it on 360 by the way.
Shouldn't they teleport to me anyways since they are followers?
