• Will I get a VAC Ban from Black Ops for using a config file

Right, I've found a modification to the config_mp.cfg file that apparently increases the frame rate in game. It's something that I really need, seen as my framerate usually lingers around 15-20fps and it's generally unplayable, but I'm afraid that I will get a VAC ban for it. So, essentially, would I get a VAC Ban for changing the config_mp.cfg file? Thanks guys.
Config files are basically there for you to change, it's how people can tune their setting to work optimally on their system. You have nothing to worry about.

This totally needed it's own thread, because it's not like there's a megathread that is almost always at the top of the front page or anything. Also, no.

RayDark has a pretty stupid sense of humor. But nah, you won't be banned.
VAC primarily stops custom DLL files from being executed or injected into the game's client such as aimbots or wallhacks.
