Missing the 1440 x 900 resolution in GoldSrc games

To make a long story short, I was playing half life one day when it crashed with no error message and when I launched it again the 1440x900 resolution was missing from the video options in all of my GoldSrc games. I have tried reinstalling and setting the resolution manually from the launch options but nothing seems to work. I am running Windows Vista 32bit. Anybody know how to fix this?

Well do any other games have broken resolutions? If so, reinstall your graphics card drivers.

I had this happen to me on my other PC, only every game I tried to play was missing 1440 x 900.
