• Steam support fails again

Then MW2 froze so I closed it out. I went to relaunch it and steam was frozen. I closed steam.exe and now steam won't start at all. The exe just freezes and never does anything when I launch it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times and deleted all the registries for steam. Restarted the computer several times to complete the uninstall/reg edit and still no luck. Please exit Steam and go to the folder called C:\Program Files\Steam\ (this is the default location for a Steam installation - if you set a different installation directory, you will need to browse to it). Delete all of the files in this folder except: The Steamapps folder and Steam.exe (this file is listed as an application and features the black and white Steam logo) Restart your computer. Then, you will need to launch Steam.exe from within the Steam installation folder, and not from a pre-existing shortcut. With Steam running, re-test the original issue. Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games. Sometimes steam wont start or I cant get out of a beta but steam ALWAYS gives me this message. It's like they try to piss you off. Steam has the shittest support ever known to man. TL:DR Steam support sucks and I am pissed.

I see no folly in their response. 1. They gave you a suggestion to fix it. 2. You replied that it didn't work and that you found out a solution on your own. 3. They congratulate you and re-inform you that they would gladly help with any future error. You're just being a dick.

Same thing happened to me. I bought TF2 for an old account of mine, that a friend now uses to play with me. We hadn't touched it for months, but we discovered as soon as we tried to play together, the account was banned. So I bitched, and literally said [B]"Don't give me some bullshit automatic response, I am out 20 dollars because we were unaware the account had been banned. Call a human and get him to respond. Thanks Gabe."[/B] They apologized (a human did, inorite?), and I got a $25 credit in compensation :D It actually worked for once.

If you look down at the bottom of my post it says I'm just mad about the steam support being crappy. Not necessarily that the couldn't help. They just send a automated response and hope the user sorts it out. The only way to get a real person is to insult them or call them out.
