• How is the Pyro Noob?

This is a flame to all the mass amounts of idiots and retards out their claiming how "cheap" and "noobish" the pyro is. First of all, lets look at his weaponry. A flamethrower, short range, but powerful. A shotgun, again, supposed to be used in short to medium range and just as strong as the other shotguns. The axe, another short range weapon, melee though. The flare gun, slow moving incendenairy device for medium/long range purposes, although for unskilled players, VERY ineffective (i've taken out snipers, heavys, and even other pyros with the flare gun, cause i have SKILL) The flamethrower is not noob for two reasons: A - ITS A FUCKING SHORT RANGE WEAPON, HOW FUCKING STUPID ARE YOU TO RUN STRAIGHT INTO IT IF HES OUT IN THE OPEN? ARE YOU FUCKING BLIND?! AND IF YOUR IN CLOSE QUARTERS, RUN BACKWARDS AND FIRE, ITS NOT THAT FUCKING HARD! AND IF YOUR FLANKED AND DIE, WELL, GOOD, ATLEAST WE KNOW THE PYRO IS DOING SOMETHING AND ISN'T AS USELESS AS HE WAS BACK IN TFC! B - It can easily be countered by health pickups, any source of water, a medic, and a cabinet..... Seriously, if your going to bitch because you were in CLOSE range when you die from a FLAMETHROWER, you deserve to have your gaming license revoked, it's common sense, but oh, no one calls out the Soldier for his long distance, extremely powerful rockets with insane amounts of splash damage, which is automatic and is a quick and easy reload. The flamethrower also takes some skill to use because of it's compression blast which can push away enemies and push away mines and even turn grenades against the enemy. (the backburner is the only "noob" thing here, but so are alot of class specific weapons for the classes) The flaregun takes ALOT of skill to use because its slow moving, it's one shot then you have to reload and ontop of that, theirs a slight lag before you fire, delaying your shot .8 seconds. The axe is a melee weapon but it has it's perks, if you hit an enemy on fire (with the axtinguisher) with it, you get a critical, which is helpful, but needs to be used quickly as their are plenty of classes that can outrun the Pyro, leaving him with an axe in hand against abunch of missle spamming(Soldier), grenade lobbing(demoman), machine gun spraying(Heavy), faggots. On an unrelated note, i love how the majority of people saying the Pyro is noob have never actually played original TFC, where he was the worst class (except for his nades). Lets look at some of the other classes. Sniper, yes, it takes a rather large amount of skill and is probably the only class worth saying has skill as every other class has things which make them incredibly nooby. Soldier, as i mentioned before, IS JUST FUCKING ROCKET SPAM, who cares if it's slow moving, the splash damage alone is enough to warrant atleast 3/4's of an actual hit AND pushes the player against their will, and their not THAT slow moving compared to original TFC. I've also heard the soldier takes less fall damage (is that right), and if so, that's even fucking gayer. Heavy, oh wow, people say the pyro's "strategy" is just mouse1+w, well the entire fucking gameplay ASPECT of the heavy is just that, really, who else have you seen the medics run to when they have an uber charge ready, and WHO ELSE do you see dominating the floor with uber charge and pretty commonly without an ubercharge? HEAVY, because of his large amount of ammo, natural 300 startign health, incredibly fast rate of fire, NO RELOAD, AND ITS GOOD AT SHORT TO MEDIUM RANGE, AND WITH NATASCHA, YOU CAN EVEN EXTEND THAT RANGE TO LONG!! WHAT THE HELL!?! And if it couldn't get any worse, he can use his sandwitches to heal himself... I think i speak for everyone when i say the HEAVY is the largest noob class in the game. Medic, i have never seen so many fucking assist's in my life. Seriously, i was on a server and a MEDIC was leading the scoreboard with 57 points.... All from assists, aswell as them being the ones able to give the ubercharge it can be quite gay. But since they have more drawbacks and are only good for your own team, i guess their not quite worth calling out on. Demoman, dear sweet jesus, ability to bounce grenades around corners AND KILL WITH 1 TO 2 DIRECT NADE HITS, mines that stick to walls and just about everything you can think of besides players, it's like ultimate spammer heaven, since the grenades can ALSO detonate on impact against an enemy. Engineer, if their was an easier class to play as, i think i wouldn't even bother mentioning the rest and just point it out plain and simple. The engineer is the class that sits around, and camps the entire game, building turrets and supply dumps, occasionaly you'll have smart engineers that build GOOD teleporters (NOT ONES THAT TELEPORT FROM THE SPAWN POINT, TO FUCKING 15 FEET AWAY). The turret, although takes a good amount of time to upgrade if resources are scarce, can shoot auto targeting missles, and has a pair of... how much is it? 2 miniguns? Mind as well make it 4 because of how fucking fast it's rate of fire is, which can target you in less then 1.5 seconds and kill you practicaly instantly unless your smart and retreat as soon as you see one of these fuckers. They lucious cherry ontop of this shit cake is that the supply dumps continuesly heal everyone around it and can be upgraded to work faster, so if an engineer is camping this with a turret, you can say good night, unless you have skilled spy hidden up your teams sleaves. Spy, well speak of the devil, they require some skill, not enough to warrant them infinite numbers of instant kill backstabs and looking exactly like the enemy with even a blue/red signifier (unlike in TFC, where if someone was a spy, their nametag would be the color of their REAL team). Other then the backstabs, it's not a nooby class at all. Scout, these quick little fucktards have an auto shotgun which is quite potent at close range and can run as fast as you can say, pleasedontfuckmeoveryoufaggot. AND with the shotgun upgrade, it gets even worse, as they can kill you in one hit if their close enough (i was pyro, walking through a corridor, BAM, went from full health to dead, and what do i see? a little scout run past my corpse with a double barrel shotgun). Since their clearly one of the weakest classes health wise, i'll let them off the hook. So what are we left with? Soldier, demoman, and Heavy, clearly the pros in mixed long and close range spam. Pyro's would also go in that category, but since all of those weapons are clearly way more varied in their effective distance, pyro takes the backseat. Pyro weaknesses: -Water -Open areas -Missles (can't tell you how many times i've had soldiers kill me in close range) -Other pyro's (since it's a stalemate as their both immune to catching on fire but suffer the same direct hit damage) Pyro strengths: -Close Range -Grenades (reflecting them with compression blast so they turn on your enemy and hopefully damage them or even better, kill them) -Ambushes (The only deadly pyro is the one that can surprise and flank enemies, which is what hes good for, strafing and firing the flamethrower to damage, disorient, and confuse players) -Weakening the masses, igniting people then retreating is a great way to weaken the masses, unless theirs a medic, health, a cabinet, or water nearby, which makes this strength, seemingly null. So, unless you want to be bitched at everytime in a game, by me, to prove how wrong your sorry asses are for picking on the Pyro just because hes good under certain circumstances (LIKE ALL THE CLASSES), and you want a noob flaming war to go on until i either stop playing TF2 or i die in real life, THEN STOP CALLING THE PYRO NOOB, THEIR IS NO SUCH THING AS NOOB IN TF2, ONLY CIRCUMSTANCE, WHICH WEIGHS THE ODDS OF SUCCESS TORWARDS ONE PLAYER IF THE CIRCUMSTANCES FIT THE CLASS, or we can keep argueing which class is more noob till our death. Either way, i'll argue without end in this thread and in TF2, at how NOT NOOB the pyro is, how noob the other classes are, and how the rule of NOOB doesn't apply in TF2 or TFC at all. (circumstance rules over TF2 with an iron fist, accept it or GTFO, it's not like instant kill headshots, instant kill backstabs, and instant kill critical rockets/grenades are total BS, and atleast you have a chance of survival when your ignited, so instead of bitching about how gay the pyro is, why don't you find a medic or med pack for you crybaby ass) So please, flame me, so then i can prove how wrong you dumbasses are.
