Afternoon gents. The other day I decided to get all nostalgic and I ordered Flight Sim 2004 from Amazon. Well I looked into the moding community but I couldn't really tell if anything could be trusted or not. So I was wondering if you guys could give me some sites that I can trust/don't have to pay for. Also a tutorial on how to install mods would be delightful. Thanks in advance.
www.Simviation.com That's all you'll ever need. Takes a while to get a download started though, and you can only have 2 running at a time, but it is the biggest mod base for FS ever.

I never understood why people feel the need to charge for X-Plane and Flight Sim planes, where pretty much every other modding community out there offers their work up for free.
Yeah, pay sites are rampant when it comes to addons to simulators. Fucking ridiculous. Also, fucking sites that require registration but don't accept gmail or yahoo emails and have a completely intelligible captcha system. I've been thinking about reinstalling FS2004 myself, used to play the shit out of these types of games back in the day.
I used to use this site: http://www.surclaro.com/ not entirely sure what goes on down there anymore, but the site has a ton of stuff and never gave me any problems. You do need to register though.
I tried to get back into FS earlier this year, but most of the Flight1 stuff I had doesn't work properly in Win7 64bit, so I gave up :gonk:
