I don't like Halo.
I remember buying some giant robot megablocks thing. 'Twas awesome.
I always thought Mega Blocks felt cheap and crappy compared to Legos.
In my opinion, Lego always was and always will be king of the construction block world.

I saw these in the store the other day.
The one thing I always liked about Megablocks more than Lego was the little people. Megablocks people always had more degrees of motion than the standard Lego man.
But legos are far more sturdy than Megablocks.
Megablocks are weaker than Lego, they do tend to have sets like this though. But it is a trap!
None of my megablocks have ever fit together properly

Megablocks don't hold form NEARLY as well as legos. It's like buying a 2 wheel drive car for off-roading. And legos are ALWAYS off-roading

I think I still have the military stuff. I remember it came in a big green plastic box, it had a plastic foldout thing to build on, and the guides showed you how to build things like humvees, tanks and helicopters.

Looks pretty cool, but nothing can beat Lego.
I had Megablocks once.. Its a cheaper alternative to lego but lego will always be number one and BTW most of those use alot of custom blocks.
Cool, but I prefer Lego because you can build alot of stuff with random blocks that you bought off of different sets, whereas with MegaBlocks most of the sets use custom blocks that are harder to jam on top of other blocks.

I liked how all of the lego blocks were exactly the same. One time I bought some lego set and couldn't find the piece I needed, so I just pulled out my huge box of lego and found one there.
Now I can make my own armors and maps like halo kid! Except with legos :D
The only times I've ever bought Megablocks was for their unique characters like this. I had some knights, some secret agents, a fella who looked kinda like Gordon Freeman, and I'd only get this for Master Chief. When it comes to everything else, it's all about lego.
