GTA IV is good for voice acting compared to Just Cause 2
I fucking love Just Cause 2, but GTA IV has a lot more content and substance, Just Cause 2 is hilarious and really fun but also is like a simple toy and is as easy to put away and forget about than it is to pick up and play with in the first place. So my vote goes for GTA IV (including episodes), multiplayer being a large deciding factor too.
Well just cause 2 is more of a toy then something of actual substance It's a load of fun I'll give it that but when I look back GTA IV will be more favourable in my memory
Just Cause 2. Why? Just 'cause.
GTA IV is good for voice acting compared to Just Cause 2
The voice acting in Just Cause 2 was cheesy on purpose. At least that's what I saw somewhere.
They are two completely different games. [editline]04:25PM[/editline] It's like comparing Team Fortress with Rainbow Six.

Two different games with different gameplay and goals. Arguably I like GTA4 more; it lasted longer and I'm still interested in playing it. I also think it's slightly better optimized for what you get out of it
Right now just cause 2 but it'll probably wear off, that's when the raw quality wins over the fun factor.
Just Cause 2, because it has parachutes and grappling hooks.
GTA IV got boring after a while but Just Cause 2 just keeps on being fun
GTA 4 was a big disappointment for me but Just Cause 2 was actually a lot better than expected.
GTA IV because Just cause 2 is just a huge empty boring displacement with a guy with a parachute and a grapling hook.
GTA IV with The Ballad of Gay Tony = Base jumping like Just Cause but with realism
Seriously - how can you compare this: To this: I see lots and lots of square kilometers filled with trees and cactus. There is absolutely NOTHING going on there. And that's no fun.
You can't ride a missile in GTA IV. You can't hijack a Helicopter IN FLIGHT in GTA IV. You can't dual-wield Nade Launchers in GTA IV. You can't destroy military bases in GTA IV. You can't jump onto another plane IN FLIGHT from your plane WHICH IS ALSO IN FLIGHT and hijack said plane in GTA IV. You can't ride on top of a Linear Jet on GTA IV. May I go on?
They're 2 different games to me. I mean GTA IV had an epic storyline which is why I bought and played that. You can fuck around a little but not as much as JC2. Just cause 2 has kind of weak storyline but it's great for fucking around in and that's why I bought it.
Get a trainer for strong grapple ropes and rope two linear jets together and see how that goes. :v:

Does it make's spore better than JC2 or GTAIV? No. Features that sound good and are fun the first 3 times you try them =/= fun game.
Just Cause 2 doesn't have fucking IK on the player, and the vehicle's IK rigging is shit. GTAIV has great IK and proper IK for even multiplayer characters. Inverse kinematics (foot propping, tire propping)
GTA 4 is inferior because it's supposed to be a sandbox game but to me it felt like they took a lot of the good sandbox elements of past GTA games out and threw in some realism instead.
I liked GTA's story.

Unrealistic, probably yes. But all are unique and have never been done in any other sandbox game. Except maybe the dual nade launchers. [editline]01:08PM[/editline] My point being; there is more stuff to do in Just Cause 2 after the story is done and over with.
Well I guess the features in GTA IV and possibilities in Just Cause 2 compensate each other. Like traits in first Fallout games. But I bet San Andreas would beat JC2 10 times.
Elaborate. I don't understand how SA beats Just Cause 2.
Im tired of all this "Game 1 VS. Game 2" Threads, they lead nowhere. I loved GTAIV, I loved Just cause 2. Each one is great in its own way, so while you debate about which is better, ill actually go now and play both games, have fun and not give a fuck.

Just Cause has an immersive storyline. Besides, Just Cause 2 is only better in the terms of Sandbox.
