So Gamesradar had a little feature about announcements at E3 that would make the gaming world explode in nerdgasms. Reason I'm posting this here is that their first reason is an announcement of HL2: Ep3.

So what do you guys think? I am hoping they will at least answer [i]some[/i] questions about Ep 3 at this year's convention, but a full on trailer/announcement is really doubtful because they will probably just show off Portal 2 and such.
I'm sorry to shoot your cloud down, but I'm still thinking that there will be more Portal 2 info released instead.
However, if Valve did release even the slightest hint at Ep3 at E3, E3 would be a riot.

I do not think of anything happening about Episode 3 at this years E3. I'm just saying at the very least will happen is they will answer some questions about it, maybe why it's taking so long, I'm not sure. Just want Facepunch's input on Gamesradar's feature.

God, I'd get overflown with feelings if they do make an appearance.
Think of it, it's in the middle of the night (here) and you're still waiting for a Valve announcement, you've been following all streams and chats regarding E3 all through the beginning towards the end, and it feels like there is no hope.
Someone would step up onto the stage, everything being dark, except one spotlight on the lone man standing there in front of the microphone, everything being really quiet.
"And now, something an ...uncountable amount of fans have been waiting and screaming for, for about three whole years..."
The man would step off the stage, everything still being quiet and dark, except for the people whispering in the crowd.
The most awesome trailer, that any gamer has ever seen, for Half Life 2: Episode 3 plays up in high quality, from a projector on the big screen.
After the trailer stops, and nerds (like me) puking from it being too much, the whole E3 is lit up by nerdgasms and screaming heard all the way to Norway.

Possible, but not likely. Why the fuck would Activision need 3 rooms? One for Bobby Kotick so he can jack off to the millions of dollars he [sp]didn't[/sp] rightfully earned? And another to make sure Treyarch are working on CoD7?

They weren't on the exhibitor list for a while so people started shitting their pants saying Valve wasn't going to do anything this year but then they whipped out Portal 2 and said "haha fooled u :smug:" and booked E3.

Most likely meant acronym. But I find that hilarious, I never though of the anagram. It's almost as if Valve [i]knew[/i] we would be so bogged down by the wait that we'd create the deepest of deep theories... most of which are actually rather bad in retrospect.

Not at all, this just means they are planning to do a briefing of something really big. They did this with Half-Life 2's E3 appearance. They showed videos to the press. Then they showed some actual footage at their announcement during the conference.
I'd say Portal 2 is not their only game they are showing.

Also, just because Valve said "don't expect to see episode 3 in 2010" does not mean a damn thing.
it could mean it's actually being labeled Half-Life 3, release is 2011-2012, and we also know Gabe Newell is a troll. He has gave inaccurate info just to throw the community off.
