Right heres the deal, I currently have £10 in money (I'm 15) and Fable 2 GOTY Classics is £9.98 on http://www.game.co.uk I just tried the Fable 2 Episode 1 kind of demo and LOVED it, I have never played any of the Fable series before and I thought episode 1 was amazing. It has recently come to my attention that Fable 3 is coming out in October this year. It is unlikely that I will get any more money this year because I generally get money at Easter, Xmas, Birthday. Would it be best for me to buy Fable 2 now and most of my friends have it, but they are also preordering Fable 3, or subsidise my money to a preorder of Fable 3 later this year?
But heres another catch, I want Portal 2 this year too :(
Get Fable 3. If your friends are doing that, you should too.
And how does a 15 year old solely get money on those occasions? Don't you get allowance or something? Don't you have a job or something?
You could probably get fable 3 for xmas later this year since its slated for a late 2010 release.
Save up as much money as you can (cut down on things) and if you don't have enough by release beg your mum/dad to pay the rest.
Get Fable 2. Your save file transfers to Fable 3. Well, kind of, your Fable 3 character will be the child of you Fable 2 character and appearance and certain stats, will carry over.
I recommend Fable 1 over the sequels, to be honest.
Fable 2 was short. Wait for 3.
Borrow it from your friends...? Get fable 3 later.
You say there that you never played a Fable game before, so I suggest you either forget it all and get Fable: The Lost Chapters for it is a much better game than Fable 2, or just wait for Fable 3 and hope for it to be better than Fable 2.
Neither.
If you are not going to be getting any more money this year, i would recommend buying something with a little more replay value, something that will last you a bit longer
Get Fable one and forget the other two ever existed.
