Whenever I play sourceforts on this computer, I enter the game, and walk a few steps, and then the game quits out and I get the microsoft error report thing: HL2 has encountered an error and had to quit. I tried re-installing sourceforts, and that's no good. Anyone know how to solve this problem?
Do the rest of your source games work? Have you ran Half-Life 2 before? Have you validated your game files? Have you defragged your hard drive? Did you download Sourceforts from their website? Is the game setup with default settings?

I don't own half life 2, but I own Portal, and gmod, and HL2: DM, which the mod is based off of 3. I don't know how to validate them, could you explain? 4. I haven't recently defragged 5. yes 6. yeah
Well seeing as Sourceforts was created using the SDK for HL2:DM. Open Steam Right Click on Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Select Properties A box should appear Click on the Local Files tab Click on "Verify integrity of game cache..." After that completes I highly recommend you defrag your computer. It will give you noticeable performance improvements and fixes alot of problems with games.
