What is so bad about CSS? - Games

All of you semm to hate Counter Strike: Source, what's so bad about it?!

Community.

The only reason I play CSS is to skin it to death. And mods. Otherwise, it's pretty boring. You can't respawn, which puts me off, and nobody follows the objectives. It's just a plain urban deathmatch game. But the customizability is incredible.

Respawn servers are cool with me. But otherwise being forced to sit out an entire round because I'm new to the game is pretty lame.

It's full of cosck and not really that fun anyways. It's just boring.

I don't know. It's certainly not as [i]exciting[/i] as most fps games and I really prefer TF2. However whenever I want a more realistic shooter then I'll play some CS. I don't know why I love it so much. The fact that unlike other FPS games I have to watch my step and plan my actions on a constant basis. Once you start getting shot it'll take a miracle not to die. It's a little more suspenseful I think...whoever is seen first is generally the victor, and stacked with no respawn it feels like the stakes are a little higher. (edit: this is all based on whether or not AWP is being used. If it is, then yeah the game is pretty bullshit with the bunny-hopping one-shot "snipers." However there are plenty of servers that ban the awp or at least make the conditions for getting it ridiculous, and those are the ones I frequent) It's even got its own run-n-gun gamemode, Gungame Deathmatch, which is insanely fun if the server master knows what he's doing and has the right plugins. I don't think it's the greatest fps ever made, I just don't think it deserves all the hate people give it.

The community sucks, I can't have a good time by simply playing with them. I get no feeling of achieving from simply being good at the game, because any idiot can beat them, and being skilled is not particularly encouraged by the community. I do enjoy hacking the game, though. I get more satisfaction from seeing my aimbot run around the map and shoot everyone than I do from doing so myself.

Everyone's been playing it to death and are unbeatable. Except for me, I suck. That's why I dislike CSS

It's old. And if you want a decent FPS with the same action just play some CoD4

CSS rules!! I love it when the vocal chat is turned off => too much RAEG when I kill people :)

I enjoy playing Counter Strike Source. I personally find it a great game since it has been out since 2004. The gameplay is good and there's a variety of maps to play. I know there's a lot of kids who play the game and scream down the mic, but if you look past that it's a great game. There are tournaments and leagues for the proffessional gamers. You get the occassional hacker, but VAC is quite up to date to stop the latest hacks. And it's a great game if you're good at it! The games is also one of the most popular games on steam!

It's bland, boring, generic and shit. It has absolutely no redeeming qualities.

Awful community. And the fact that it's meant to be a tactical shooter, but the best method of surviving is to bunnyhop around with a sniper rifle.

The community brings the game to it's knees, not to mention how many people hack. Seriously though, so many people hack that sometimes the admins get paranoid and kick/ban you for getting a kill streak.
