Well everyone, the day is here. Counter-Strike favourite, most pwnage weapon is retiring. For those of you you haven't read the title, it is, sadly, the AWP. I found out in the September 2009 pc gamer magazine.
I am honestly surprised and saddened about this all. Here is the article, i wrote it down, so it's not word from word but close enogh

Also I just realized Counterstrike is one of those games where skill equals fun
You're either at least decent or getting killed all the time because you're running around gunning everything like it's Quake
So I think another game would be more suitable for your playstyle

Actually, I don't like Counterstrike. At all. Infact it is the most boring, repetitive and generic game I have ever played. I'm just saying people shouldn't care about how "noobish" a gun is or about skill and just stop taking games so seriously.

I only wish it was officially removed. It's such a lame thing. Every other gun in the game requires aiming and control, and then you have the AWP where you just run around shooting in the general direction of the bad guys getting kills.
Who the fuck was part of the Counterstrike dev team who thought that was a good idea
