Hello so installed Call of Pripyat a while ago and everything inside the game is fine the only bad thing is when i press ESC, It takes so long time for the game to let it show up the Mainmenu, the odd thing is that Call of Pripyat runs normal on 32 bit without any slowdown.
I deinstalled 32 bit.
I use:
Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate
4 gb ram
Intel Core 2 Duo
HD 5770 1GB
1. There's other sections AND a Stalker thread right in this section for such purposes.
2. Are you sure you correctly installed all drivers for 64 correctly?
yup yup im 100% sure because i allways check if there are bugs or if its not correctly installed.
btw i did it to gain more attention, so i get some help because i didnt knew if there are many people posting in the big stalker thread.
I have 64bit and I used to play it on 32bit. No difference for me, it isn't a general 64-bit issue.
I have no idea what your issue is. :(
What is your CPU's Ghz?
[editline]08:44PM[/editline]
Stalker can be pretty CPU intensive at times.
[editline]08:44PM[/editline]
It could also be Windows 7 but that's just an assumption.
For the most part it's very memory intensive.
Windows 7 isn't the problem since I run CoP perfectly fine on my install, my advise is to reinstall drivers and install any that you might have forgotten. Sorry but that's all that we can do since it's very hard to isolate the problem when you're not in front of the computer with the specified problem.
I can tell you that it's not related to Windows 7 64bit since it runs fine on my end.
my Intel is a 2.66 GHZ
And the driver are all right maybe i should reinstall CoP?
or i have a bad Retail disc.
what speed is your hd lol
The best way to make money in redux is to leech off fights. Wait to a fight is over Kill survivors loot all the weapons place all in a body, drag back Owl.
My HDD has a average speed.

What has this to do with the game being slow for him?
I play on both 32 and 64 bit regularly, and their performance is almost exactly the same in terms of loading, etc.
Did you install the game in your Program Files (x86) folder, or regular Program Files?
x86 folder
You really really really should have posted this in the Technical Support section.
And:
Did you remember to reinstal your Video drivers after you Installed the 64 bit os?
You do need different drivers for 32 and 64 so you cannot use your old ones.
Get new ones from the ati site.
Bah. I have the same OS and Processor as the OP listed. Hell, it's even installed on a usb connected external and it runs fine on pretty decent graphics. Even got Direct X 10 on. Maybe your computer is overheating, slowing it down? I had that happen when playing Clear Sky and my tower was caked with dust on the inside. Also as Taipan said. Drivers.
Your are saying that I'm to dumb to install drivers and if you could read you would have seen that i said that i checked everything and btw I'm not so dumb that i wouldn't know that i only can use x64 drivers.
I only use x64 drivers all the time and btw what has the GPU to do with the game tf2 runs very well on 1920 x 1200 and all the other games i have run very well too.
Anyone know if there is yet a patch out?

Sry didn't see your post em no my PC is not overheating it has nice temperature
cpu's heat is about 49 to 59 degrees
my GPU stays at 25 on idle and 35 and sometimes 40 degrees
Oh yeah and i run it on Direct X 11
the game itselfs runs fine its just when i open the mainmenu.
btw i cleaned the dust in my pc 1 week ago so no dust :)

I was just trying to help and to do that I have to ask for info that you did not provide in the OP.
But if you are going to be a smug asshole about it you might as well figuer it out for yourself.

Still the same saves loading is slow
and open the mainmenu too goona look if there are some patches aviabile
No patches if you have the EU/US version. if your CPU is single core, that'd be the problem, but it isn't, so i dunno :/
I have a dual core i don't even know why its so slow everything is actually ok maybe i should start from a scratch?
Meaning format all my hdds and then Install win7 again and see what happens.
Reinstall.
If that doesn't work.
Reinstall again.
i reinstalled Cop but it didn't work, em well the thing that is odd that CoP worked fine on 32 bit.
Considering the fact that i have SoC and Clear Sky on 64 bit and they work and run pretty well, its seems to me very odd that CoP won't run so well.
