ok so I saw some videios on mercs 2 and wont it for pc but I hear theres a lot of bugs should I get it?
ya
No! Oh god no! No no no!
Just get it. I saw it at Best Buy for 9 bucks, even if it isn't a great game I heard the multiplayer is pretty enjoyable.
God no, too mediocre and casual.
Nooo. Oh nooo. Oh nooooooooooo no no no.
God no, too mediocre and casual.
You're what's wrong with the gaming industry.
That game is broken. Do not get it.
That game is broken. Do not get it.
This man is correct. Listen to him.
Nooo. Oh nooo. Oh nooooooooooo no no no. You're what's wrong with the gaming industry.
Most Facepunch members bitch about games becoming casual ruining the industry.
For the PC, the game is utter and total shit.
It's pretty good. PC isn't bad anymore, I get a nice FPS with it maxed.
I just did more research on mercs 2 why did E.A make a huge patch for PS3 and Xbox 360 but no pc patch when I find the guy that came up with thie idea im going to shove the game down his throat oh well I'll just get red faction gurrilla then and if where very very lucky then mercs 3 might have geomod 2.0
I hated it. The physics suck, you can take a shit load of damage, the controls are bad, the graphics aren't good. I wouldn't get it
Fucking worst $10 I have ever spent, I mean, I expected mediocrity, but damn, this takes the cake. Works like complete shit with my Gamepads too. Maybe the online makes it worth getting or something, but I wouldn't be so sure.
I hated it. The physics suck, you can take a shit load of damage, the controls are bad, the graphics aren't good. I wouldn't get it
the main reason I wantt it is because of the fact that you can order in a ton vehicles and weapons witch in my opinion is one of the coolest features ever so I could care less about physics and graphics but the huge bugs are unacceptable
I liked it. Though they could've just named it, "Blow shit up" Which is essentially all you do, with that bitch reminding you to use airstrikes EVERY FIVE SECONDS when you're on a mission.

Lots of people say this game sucks. That however is defiantly not my opinion. This was the first game I got when I got my 360 last Christmas and still play it every now and then to this day. I guess I’ll tell you the ups and downs. The whole game takes place in Venezuela. In the very first mission you are hired as a mercenary for the leader of Venezuela (Blanco) who at the end of the mission betrays you and tries to kill you but only, "shoots you in the ass." You seek revenge on him for not paying you. (See the advertisements theme song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCvIw7DMHXc) First off, vehicles: There are many different vehicles from slow clunker cars to speedy sports cars. Many different tanks, AA, motorcycles, helicopters, and boats. There’s even jet skis and a pink moped. Next off, Missions: In the game there are 7 different factions. Your own mercenary "company", the Venezuelan Army, Universal Petroleum, Venezuelan Gorilla, Pirates, Allied Nations, and lastly China. You can do Missions for each of these factions (the missions are usually directed on another faction). Upon completing the missions (depending on the type of mission) you can purchase more and better weapons/vehicles/airstrikes from that faction or find out more information about where Blanco is. The factions can get mad at you for stealing their fuel, killing their men, and destroying their buildings. If a faction gets mad enough at you they will become hostile to you and shoot you on site. Their are many side missions to unlock more weapons/vehicles/airstrikes and I haven’t completed them all yet. Thirdly, Downs: There are a few minor bugs in this game. One time i jumped out of a helicopter and fell through the floor, back up to the top of the sky, and through over and over again. Lastly, Extras/Misc: Throughout the game you will find spare parts, when you find enough spare parts your mechanic can make you custom/kickass vehicles. You also get a helicopter pilot and jet fighter. The helicopter pilot picks up stockpiles and fuel for you, jet fighter pilot will do airstrikes for you. Airstrikes cost fuel, as well do supply drop offs. Destruction is imminent in this game, you can destroy practically everything. To jack a car/tank/whatever, you go through a quick time event which can be fun. Multiplayer can be indeed very fun. In conclusion: This game is great, get past the minor bugs and you have a crazy fun game that will last you hours upon hours especially with multiplayer. If you do end up getting this game, I'd be more than happy to play it with you.
You can ignore all of that?
all I care about is smooth gameplay everything else takes a backseat
Lots of people say this game sucks. ah i see, Well, i enjoyed typing that.
Allied Nations, and lastly China
that's a spoiler
that's a spoiler
Hardly.
It's not as bad as people say it is. The PC version never got the payback update though, that added new characters and stuff. It has glitches though, most of the time when I use Ewan's helicopter to fast travel I end up outside of the map and die.
Most Facepunch members bitch about games becoming casual ruining the industry.
Saying "most Facepunch members" isn't a good way to prove a point. Here's a graph to help explain:
If you have a ps2 or an xbox lying around get the first mercs. i god damn loved that game. Kind of more dark and gritty ( see it as better or worse).
I never completed the first mercs because the ace of spade mission was way too hard for my tastes
You might as well get the first game.
I tried the demo once. It isn't horrid, but it isn't good. I would not buy it.
It is crap compared to the first one [editline]08:08AM[/editline]
Nooo. Oh nooo. Oh nooooooooooo no no no. You're what's wrong with the gaming industry.
NO had mercenaries kept to the original airstike, delivery, and mission plots it would have been great, but no they saw something working and had to reinvent it
