• Flight Simulator while on a plane trip.

This is probably a pointless thread, but I would like to know. If you went on a 5-6 hour plane trip somewhere, and brought Flight Simulator with you, taking off in exactly the same plane, at exactly the same airport, and landing at the exact same airport as you are in real life, and somehow could find out the airspeed and fly at that speed in the game, would you more or less land at the same time?
i think so
If it's all scaled realisticly, then yeah. Don't see why not and I don't see why you'd want to lol.

Of course you would have to take into account the airways and wind conditions but basically, yes.
You should fly the real plane instead.
It'd be hard to do, but it's possible. I've done it before, landed with about 30 to 60 minutes of difference due to me not knowing the flight speed, so I used the typical cruising speed of the aircraft. Autopilot also decided to have a mind of it's own and nearly crashed me once too.:argh:
I don't even like FS and this sounds like fun
You should fly the real plane instead.
I would, but most of my landings with commercial airliners in Flight Simulator end up with the front half inside of a small residential house.
That's actually a really good idea. I would think so, but I would also think that the game-speed might be a bit faster, then again, I've never played Flight Simulator.

Depends on what FS and if you have any mods.
You would also have to simulate things like the jet stream and tailwind.
