Iam going to buy a ps2. What games should I get that I have missed out on? (PS1/2)

Well I have realised over the past few months I have missed out on a whole collection of great games from the playstation 1, and 2 era. And have considered going to buy a cheap ps2 slimline which should not be too expensive. I hope.
But yea, there are many games I wish to play on which look awesome and better than most the titles out now.
Some games that I have not tried out and wish too are as follows -

Silent Hill Series
Shadow Of The Colossus
God Of War
Old Final Fantasys

Gives you an idea of what games I am looking for.
Games I have had before are mainly GTA and Metal Gear.
Apart from that I never played the playstation.

Jak and Daxter Series (all 3 of them).

I liked the Monster Rancher games for the PS2. Syphon Filter and Red Faction were both great games. Kingdom Hearts kicks ass. That's about all I can think of right now.

If you track down a copy Ico, you'd probably cream your pants. It's the game that came out before Shadow of the Colossus.

And yes, Heart of Darkness is the one about the boy and his dog
