A petition for Just Cause 2 Official Modding Tools - Games

I'm a die hard Just Cause 2 fan. I've owned it on OnLive, on xbox360, and now on PC thru Steam. This is the first game I ever learned how to mod. But modding it is difficult and limited, because there were never any official modding tools released for it. The guy who owns JustCause2mods just put up a petition to try to get Avalanche to release "Official Modding Tools" for the game. [I]I know... I know...[/I] An internet petition. Big whoop. But I would love to get my hands on some real modding tools. It can't hurt to try. So if you're like me, and you enjoy Just Cause 2's big, fun, beautiful world... And if you'd like to see bigger, better and more bad @ss mods... Please sign. It only takes like 1 minute and it could yield hours and hours of fun. The game came out 2 years ago, why would the devs give a shit.

Its not getting our hopes up and signing some petition that the devs probably won't even notice. And even if they did then they probably won't really care. If you want JC2 mods, just google em. You can find pretty much every mod you can think of for JC2.

But Avalanche are definitely working on more open-world games. One is rumored to be announced at this year's E3 (that one if definitely not JC3, but it's said to use the JC2 engine.) It would be amazing to have more tools available for their games. ...

I'd rather saints row 3 have mod tools. Or even gta5 but we know that won't happen.

Don't just sign up for a forum to post a petition that isn't going to do anything.

But as I said - It's limited in what you can do. I'm very active on JustCause2mods.com - both making mods and teaching others how to make them. I agree it's a total long shot that Avalanche will release any tools. They [B]probably [/B]won't. So be it. I'll continue to mod the game and have fun doing it. But I still took a few minutes to try. ...

The devs/Eidos ordered a cease and desist on JC2-MP, It might be a software licensing agreement? Middleware they can't send out or something? The likely-hood of them releasing mods is really low.
