Is there a way to get on the internet on a PSP with old, moddable firmware?

I was wondering, I watched the video below and noticed that there was no internet tab on the old firmware. I'm fine with no PSN, but what can I do about my awkward, clunky internet browser that I love so much?

Oh, and this isn't in the Sony section because it won't get any responses, and this thread will be done with soon anyway.

Why don't you just hack to recent firmware. It's really not hard as long as your not retarded about it.

And there's a way using wipeout I think to get on the internet using it's infrastructure mode.
