Welcome to another glorious edition of Facepunch vs Tribal Wars, the bugle calls and war beckons, who are we to deny Facepunch's glorious glory. I know of how last time, someone or Hezzy made a thread and a sizeable chunk of FPers joined and made the FP tribe strong, here I am with the very same offer again, though I doubt we will get as many members as last time I certainly hope to atleast get enough brave gentlemen to give us a sharp fighting edge. What is tribal wars? This is Tribal Wars, and the goal is simple, you and your tribe are to dominate the world by embarking on a journey filled with teenage angst, drama and fun. Here's our plan, to build up and fight for what we can on world 62 and also join world 63 on the 21st of May when it opens, for which we may have a good chance of victory. Briefing! But now, let us not get ahead of ourselves for while the learning curve isn't big it definately helps to know what's what. For those of you experienced battle hardened veterans out there I suggest skipping ahead or perhaps improving this but for the new warrior you should read this. When you first head to www.tribalwars.net you will be greeted by a main page, surprise surprise. Go ahead and register for world 62, and after completing and filling stuff out, choose to spawn in the north-east. Now we have an interesting village view which tells us many things of your soon to be great village. We have a graphical overview which tells us the levels of the buildings in your village. Beginners protection is quite simple, when it runs out you can be attacked by other players. Production, this is important, we will want high production figures as we advance through the game. The little images on the left are tutorials, click on them to see what you need to do. They often reward free resources and can be great to start up your village. click on your village headquarters, the building that's the topmost in the village, by clicking on buildings in the overview you can issue them commands. I recommend you firstly build a statue and get training a paladin from said statue, then build your village headquarters to three, village headquarters gives the bonus of decreasing the amount of time it takes to build something. Then you should build a barracks, which allows the training of troops, duh. Also you may want to build a warehouse and a wall afterwards. Building these buildings should complete most of the tutorial for you. Note when you do everything a particular tutorial tells you to do you can click Complete and are granted free resources, if you cannot fit those resources into your warehouse do not press complete, build something instead. The tutorial should have granted you 10 spearmen and 10 swordsmen by now, send these off to the nearest barbarian village that's under around 150 points, any higher and you may risk losing troops due to troops that remain in the abandoned village and the defense of the village, such as the walls. These troops will go out to loot the all important resources and bring them back to you! How nice of them. After sending these men off you should make maybe 10/20 spearmen and continue doing as much of the tutorial as possible. When you get rewarded with the extra 10 spearmen and 10 axemen, send these off too, to a different barbarian village perhaps? After you have built everything above and what the tutorial asks of you, I recommend you focus on building your timber camp, clay pit and iron mine up until a while before your beginner protection ends, which is when you should upgrade that wall. Though some things should be upgraded beforehand out of necessity, for example farm if you hit max population, warehouse if you are hitting max resources (this really should only apply if you come on a few times a day, since if you are often on and building it will never be full), the village headquarters if you want to reduce the building times, barracks for letting you build more troops to get more resources with quicker, a smithy which will allow you to build axemen for attacking, and swordsmen and archers for defending. Your end goal of this stage is to build a strong army, offense and defence - and to aim to build the Academy, which will allow you to build nobles with which you can take new villages over! One other small thing you should do is to join the tribe which is called Panty Assassins for now but will be renamed Facepunch or something along those lines, if you're too lazy to do that send Cathal7707 or myself, AMD Athlon 64 3500 a message through Tribal Wars and we will invite you. Once you are a member you will be given appropriate rights for what you can do in the tribe, and if you have any other questions please visit the Tribe Forum and ask away. That's it! Keep in mind we are working towards the glory and victory of our tribe and to dominate the world, and for this we will need diplomats and various other roles to be filled out in the tribe. If we get enough players now then perhaps we can form a steam group from which we can send announcements. Good luck!
I dont know who this "Cathal7707" is but he sounds like a cool guy.
I played this years ago and kept getting fucking destroyed. Unless they've updated it the first group that wins in the center conquers the fucking world.
