Graphics seem to be worse than number 4 for some reason. Kinda odd.
*ahem*
Yes! YESSSS
That is all.
YEEESSSSS!
Fuck yes.
Yessssssssssss
Yay. I just hope this one isn't released with so many bugs.
so is it a sim or is it just a generic stealth/action game?
Most definitely a sim.
so is it a sim or is it just a generic stealth/action game?
you haven't played silent hunter before huh? yeah it's a sub sim.
Fucking awesome.
We better be able to single handidly change the course of the war with this one.
I mean, at times Britain was one or two convoys away from being starved to death.
Never heard of this series before and its not really my sort of game but damn if its not the best trailer I've seen in a while :P
Definately going to get it, also we are fighting as the Germans once again I see (a good thing, it's one of the few WW2 games in which you don't play as Allies).
Fuck yes, now if only Sonalysts could do the same thing with their classic naval sim Fleet Command. Out of all the realistic franchises Ubisoft has swallowed up in the past few years (Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon), Silent Hunter surprisingly remains true to its roots.
Maybe some official mod support this time Ubi?
Look pretty awesome, I loved Wolves of the Pacific and this just look better.
Often I would just create custom missions where I sank defenseless cruise liners just to watch them sink.
Some of the new features sound very nice indeed, but somehow I doubt it won't be delayed until at least summer.
Never really been interested in these kindof games but hell, if the AI in the submarine is really dynamic with fear and such, it'll probably be fun!

Don't get your hopes up on a trailer, but it does looks nice from the features they listed. This is exactly what I wanted when I got SH4
Woohoo! I love Silent Hunter!
Silent hunter is one of the games that are hilarious to play drunk.
Seriously. :v:
I played silent hunter when I was younger.
Didn't really know what I was doing so I tried attacking convoys with the artillery gun on the ship.

I attacked them with the AA gun in the third, and it worked sometimes even on destroyers (of course I had the most advanced U-boat, the XX-something, I don't remember the name).
nice I've always wanted to actually be able to walk around in the sub.
I hope you can see damages and flooding while inside the submarine. Would be fucking INTENSE!
Dude, I would fucking panic :v:

Remember to close the curtains, shut off the lights and have the audio coming out through headphones. :v:
I have a copy of every SH game.
I am going to buy this.

Sweet jesus, imagine you crewmembers screaming while the water is pouring in :ohdear:
Hmm, even on 100% difficulty was SH3 a bit arcadish. The Grey Wolves mod made it a sim.

Oh god if they had that my head would melt from the awesome. It was intense enough in SH4, once I went in further than I ever should have and became surrounded by ships dropping depth charges on me, a couple hit. One caused massive hull damage and the other almost completely destroyed the engine. I was done for so I just went to captain view in the periscope room and waited, there was water pouring in from several leaks in the roof and I was sinking fast. As I got deeper and deeper a crew member would announce the depth, then the lights flickered off and emergency power came on. Moments later the sub hit the seabed with a great hollow clang and lay there, in the dim red light all I could see were the faces of the crew looking at me hopelessly as the screen faded slowly to black.
