The "wait" command makes the game wait one frame before executing any commands, so it isn't and exact amount of time. For example, if you're running 200 frames per second (like I do :smug:), the amount of time a single wait takes up is extremely minimal, but if you're running say, 20 FPS (ouch), it is actually considerable.
You can also add a number at the end to specify how many frames to wait. For example,
wait 200
makes the game "wait" for 200 frames. Again, that's a variable amount of time. If you're running at 200 frames per second, that's about one second. But if you're going slow at 20 FPS, that's a whole 10 seconds.
