How many people here actually play racing games on the pc with a keyboard? I just bought grid for pc (it was 5 bucks from a friend) and i didn't really think about the difficulty of trying to play with the arrow keys.
I play with a dual-stick gamepad (logitech rumblepad 2) I used to play with keyboard though.. (gratuitous pic of gamepad)
Trackmania is one of the few Racing Games on PC that work great without a controller.
Buy a controller. Really, they're worth the money. So many games benefit from them.
Yea Trackmania is a great racing game with no need of an extra controller.
Need for Speed works well with keyboard. But you should invest in a wheel if you like G.R.I.D most of the players have a Logitech G25
A g25 would be better on forza than grid
Trackmania GO
get trackmania nations (it's free bro) unless you're as stupid as a ton of bricks
im talking about grid here. yes i get it, trackmania is good, alright, sweet
well they got G27 out now, but G25 looks better in most people's eyes
I do better with the arrows.

Test Drive Unlimited if your computer is up for it. I know some people that play it on a keyboard, but I can't stay on the road that way. It was made for a wheel.
Live for Speed. It's better with a wheel, practically made for a wheel. But, I use mouse and keyboard combination, and I'm better than a lot of people on there.
Buy a controller. Really, they're worth the money. So many games benefit from them.
it's limited to racing games imo. fps's rpg's and rts's are shit with just about anything other than mouse+keyboard.

Are you guys kidding me? I started playing with a keyboard and it's the best thing ever, the driving wheel is impossible to control at high speeds.
Are you guys kidding me? Grid is fuckin impossible to play with a keyboard, you go all over the place. It's very annoying not to have anything besides "Center, 100% left, and 100% right."
I can play most if not all driving games on PC without a controller, i don't see why you guys find it so difficult?

Yea grid is hard to play with keyboard
G.R.I.D and Test Drive are two really awesome driving games, especially with a wheel
I can play GRID just fine with a keyboard, maybe I'm not used to the wheel as I find it that the faster that shit goes the harder it is to keep control.
Can't stand to play racing games with keyboard. The car just turn too much and loses control, or doesn't turn at all. That's why I aways have a xbox 360 controller nearby.
