Lego Rock Raiders v1. A LANDSLIDE HAS OCCU- A LANDSLIDE HAS OCCURRED.

I felt like including v1 in the title so I could insert the most known phrase of the game.
I believe we all remember this game.

The Space ship LMS Explorer is hit by a asteroid and sent flying into a wormhole, sending it into
another galaxy. To get home, the team of Rock Raiders uses their last power to travel to a distant planet, which is rich of Energy crystals. The flaw is that they're buried deep underground.
Take your team of Rock Raiders, Establish a base and collect energy crystals. But be careful, you aren't the only one lurking in the underground caverns.
The game features plenty of missions and vehicles.
Vehicles
Small Vehicles
Hover Scout: A fast, agile hovering aircraft useful for exploring.
Small Digger: The first digging vehicle, it's faster than a rock raiders drill, but not that good for anything else.
Small Transport Truck: A fast, and one of the most useful vehicles. Fully upgraded it is able to carry up to 6 of either Energy crystals or Ore.
Rapid Rider: Vehicle that can cross rivers, as well as drill energy crystal seams that are out of range for a rock raider.
Tunnel Scout: Larger than the hover scout, this vehicle can cross water and is one of the fastest vehicles in the game.
Small Mobile Laser Cutter: Nicknamed the Light tank, this vehicle can blast its way through hard rock, and shoop monsters aswell. Though each laser shot uses up 1 energy crystal.
Large Vehicles
Granite Grinder: The small digger's bigger brother, this 2 legged beast with a hell of a drill tears down any wall. Doesn't beat the Chrome Crusher though.
Loader Dozer: Tired of clearing rubble? This mean motherfucker will get rid of it in seconds.
Large Mobile Laser Cutter: A slow, but much more powerful than its younger cousin.
Chrome Crusher: The trademark of Lego Rock Raiders, this is the meanest and most expensive machine in the game. It digs through any rock like it wasn't there at all, and is equipped with a laser turret to get rid of monsters.
Cargo Carrier: Huge machine that can carry vehicles and rock raiders over rivers and lakes.
Rock Types
There are four different types of the rock walls. Dirt walls are the easiest to drill through, as they are mostly just dirt. Dirt walls can be drilled by any type of digging tool.
Loose rock walls are slightly harder to drill through, though any digging tool can take these down too.
Hard rock walls are very difficult to drill through. Being made completely of rock, they can only be taken down with the aid of drilling vehicles, the Mining Laser or dynamite.
Solid rock walls are impossible to drill through, and a Rock Raider must find a route around them.
Media time.

A landslide has occurred.
I think I actually still have this game. I played it for hours on end.
For some reason, that intro always gave me nightmares.
HOLY FUCK I LOVE THIS GAME ALSO THE ROCK WHALES WERE ANNOYING
/c.
This game was awesome... but when it said a landslide has occurred, I never really knew what it was saying.. thought it said a lunchline has occurred or something
Those fucking CO2 levels :suicide:
Never did finish this game, was fucking awesome though.
I was actually about to go play this for nostalgia value.
I love this game.
I always got stuck on that Ice Level were the O2 ran out really quickly and there was a big maze of tunnels you had to drill through and - it just got so confusing.
Now the game doesn't work anymore sadly.

Oh hell yes. Too bad I mixed all my Lego sets and all that remained was the basic shell.
Even when I reinforce the walls, the lands slides never stop coming. It's haunts me to this day.
Also was I the only one who could never find a practical use for the heavy vehicles.
I loved this game! I remember the level where you had to have the guys sprint to get away from the lava flow.

Because they only communicate through grunting?
Or because they get transported millions of light years from home and their first instinct is to go back to work as usual?

I don't think any of them work on my computer though
Fantastic game! On the PC that is. Playstation port was a piece of shit.
I still have two of my disks - I got one for my eighth or ninth birthday and got the other in a cereal box.
Neither of them work, though :saddowns:
One of the last good lego games

Just download the dll and put it in the folder and it works.
Wow they still have the support page for Lego Rock Raiders up on the Lego site.
Q. I have a 32 MB RAM PC and the game runs slowly. Why?
Never had the full version of this game. I did have the actual lego sets... they were fucking awesome, some of the best "themed" lego sets.
I don't know why, but when I've built a decent base and my power paths are glowing, my fps is like 10 when viewing the base

Do you have at least 32 MB of RAM?

Fucking this.
I absolutely love this game. I still have it installed. I hate the slugs with a passion, since they usually show up on levels where I have my men equipped with ice blasters, which are useless against the slugs. Anyone remember that level where you have to escort three guys away from a lava flow? You can end up at a tool station and teleport more men in, but lava monsters always picked off at least one sap for me. The lava flow got the other two with worrying frequency, which I found frustrating.
Does anyone know if this game can even run on modern computers? If it can, I now have one more thing I want for Christmas.

It works fine with no compatibility mode on my windows 7 32-bit computer.

Then I shall look into this. Anyone know where I could get it for PC?
