Magic: The Gathering (colloquially "Magic" or "MTG") is a collectible card game created by mathematics professor Richard Garfield and introduced in 1993 by Wizards of the Coast. Magic is the first example of the modern collectible card game genre and still thrives today, with an estimated six million players in over seventy countries. Magic can be played by two or more players each using a deck of printed cards or a deck of virtual cards through the Internet-based Magic: The Gathering Online or third-party programs.
Each game represents a battle between powerful wizards, known as "planeswalkers", who use the magical spells, items, and fantastic creatures depicted on individual Magic cards to defeat their opponents. Although the original concept of the game drew heavily from the motifs of traditional fantasy role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons, the gameplay of Magic bears little resemblance to pencil-and-paper adventure games, while having substantially more cards and more complex rules than many other card games.
The Point of the Game
In a game of Magic, two or more players are engaged in a battle as powerful wizards called "planeswalkers". A player starts the game with twenty "life points" and loses when he or she is reduced to zero or less. The most common method of reducing an opponent's life is to attack with summoned creatures. Although reducing an opponent to zero life is the most common way of winning (or losing) the game, drawing from an empty deck (called the "library" during the game) will also cause a player to lose. In addition, some cards specify other ways to win or lose the game.

I guess. But where else would it go?

Did he take it easy on you?
How old is your uncle?
Edit:
Because I can totally imagine an old guy full of wrinkles playing Magic the Gathering with a "fuck yeah I'm a pro" ego.

He plays with a blue deck so i think not...
Also, we both play blue interrupt decks, so it was kinda even

I have tried it once and i got tired of it because theres to little amount of people online, and it has got automations
I actually have a Magic: The Gathering game on my xbox. Not 360.
Was actually kind of fun:D
I used to play this as a kid. Good times.
This game is super awesome. Sadly I don't have people to play it with :crying:
Actually there is the video game of Magic: The Gathering. It's not nice.
There's the online magic game as well. You gotta pay like 10 bucks a month and I was all like fuck that shit.
I used to play this, it's fucking awesome.
Planeswalker represent
There's Apprentice and Octgn. Which are similar to MTG Online but free.
I'll look into it.
Jesus Christ, I used to just get the cards because of the awesome artwork beautifully hand craftedly etched into each one with love and care.
I own Magic: The Gathering for Xbox 360. It's an arcade game, and it's pretty fun (I just wish they added more cards and customizable decks).

It's pretty good actually.
Only problem is, being a game, you can't do "house rules", and for some stupid reason they made it so you couldn't make your own decks with cards you earned, which defeats the entire purpose and strategy of magic.

Reppin Jace Beleren up in this bitch, nobody has shit on my draw skills.
I was so shitty at this game when I was a kid, it never occured to me to set my deck up all as one type, so I always had like 2 swamp terrains, 3 islands, and a plain when I would need like 4 forests.
Incredibly fun to beat the new-age kids with old-school cards.
I used to play when my older brother was into it. Probably 8 years ago. I played a goblin themed deck.
Been playing recently. Using a white 2010 Core deck. Beat a friend's Wither deck over and over. It's fun.

Old school card's arn't exactly the most balanced things in the world.
You'd either get something totally shit that costs 1 and just is a 1/1, or something totally fucking overpowered that cost 4 and was a 6/6 with fear or something.
All I have are old school cards. (Old school IMO)
My plains deck is made primarily of Seventh Edition, Onslaught, and Judgement.
Ravnica pissed me off with all the fifty colors bullshit ( but Debtor's Knell is nice ).
Although I kinda like the new sets, I'm just not really into it that much since the only person I have who is willing to play is heavy into tournament stuff or this monstrosity affinity deck that manages to steamroll everything except a counter-deck.
Cards from ~7th edition and earlier have some mixed art ( some of it is great and some of it... not so much ) and generally look nicer to me, but the newer cards read easier with clean backgrounds on the text.
Although I'm tired of seeing flavor text definitions for trample on the card, but not something considerably more important to explain like double strike.

Exactly.
