Yeah I play it from time to time.
I played some DM last night on Battle Royale as Nexus. Got completely owned due to that being my second match ever, the first being a zombie server. Man you people are like crack hamsters with one-hit kung-fu.
I used to play so much during the days of 2.1 that I often forgot to breath. Raging Bull + G18 or Beretta 92F + Mossberg.
In fact, I just reinstalled because of this thread.
I wish i had Half-life 1 to play it.
But my brother had, and i would play extreme amounts of it.
I play this every day on the Zombie DM server. Still fun as always.
I honestly don't see what's so bad about RP, I guess I missed that bandwagon
Was playing some RP today, interesting stuff. Whacky shit kept happening, like being a willing hostage in a grocery store robbery (the robbers all being heavily armed terrorists), superhuman dwarfs in suits, and one giant street war between two gangs.
One player kept saying that TS sucked for roleplay, and it does. But he was expecting everyone to roleplay realistically to everything - which is kind of impossible since everyone can flip off walls and beat the shit out of eachother easily. Same player ended up being a DMer (Deathmatch-er), alongside various other people who came on just to grief.
Yeah, TSRP breaks the very purpose of what The Specialists is supposed to be and all, but I don't get why people bitch endlessly.
I play occasionally, but it's usually on single-player with nothing but bots. And a metric ass-ton of mods. Don't remember if there's anymore zombie RP servers up, those were kind of fun back when I played TS incessantly.
Contender sucks tho. Skorpions are fun.
Zombie RP was awesome back then we had missions and protect the area,good ole memories when I shot a zombie between someones legs mid air. I will admit RP did ruin it a little even though I was an admin on many of the servers, game is almost dead now the dev site is gone etc.
