But it's still the best Source mod I've ever played so far and I've played almost every single one of them. CSS SCI FI 3 was released about 3 years ago and hasn't really been touched since, but I still play a mission or two since the replayability is high. In a nutshell, you wake up in a facility. The facility has a gun range and then missions to accomplish. Each mission is a CSS map which has an objective. Plant a bomb, kill all Combine forces, eliminate zombies, rescue hostages etc. Really basic but the AI nodes are done well and very rarely disappoint since I've been flanked multiple times by Source AI in these maps. The maps range from official ones to unofficial maps and get progressively harder with gunships, APC's and even Striders at some occasions. You have a larger variety of guns than gerular HL2 since the mod is somewhat based on SMOD, but that just adds to the entire experience. So, which of you guys remember playing this mod? I'm aware that it's nothing new but everyone I've mentioned this to don't seem to even know it. That's why I'm saying now that if you haven't played this masterpiece, go and get it. It's hours of enjoyment. Even your gameplay experience is highly customizable. The mod comes with a config utility that allows you set the power of enemies, what NPC's are on your side, how many guns you can carry and the list goes on.
The mod itself was pretty cool, and challenging. I liked it very much.
Why did the latest version remove the HL2 campaign, I have no idea, that was fun as all hell.
I never got passed the Italy-like map with canals and rivers... :v: Always got shot in the head or the guy i was trying to rescue got shot.
Also, am I the only one who prefers the SMG to the MP5? I just find the holographics sights much easier to use than the triangular ironsights the MP5 has. The AR is pretty godlike as a sniper rifle but eh...HL2 pistol, SMG1/AR2 and shotgun is my loadout. What's your preferences in terms of weapons? I mean, I tweaked the configurator so one key always has one weapon. Excluding a crash or two it worked for me a few years ago.
My allies never lasted long, so I ended up using them as bait in the later levels.

Usually I'd pick one of them as my life partner and quickload if they ever died. Everyone else was just dead weight but that one guy/gal was the most important thing to me in missions.
