I read about the beta in the Half life wiki and i just wanted to get a quick peek at it.
Is it possible to get it? Is it legal? Also i'm looking for the REAL beta. Not just some dumb mod

I'm pretty sure I read once in a "Your emails to Gabe" thread that Gabe doesn't care about the leak as long as it is distributed without the source code, which the majority are not. It's actually really hard to find the version with the Source code.
Still, it's best to err on the safe side. Really, it isn't hard to find a download of the leak on Google.
