You might be familiar with one or both of the LEGO Games eras. back in the 90s, LEGO released quite a lot of video games, ranging from racer over RPG to complete Sandbox titles. In the last decade, a software smith called Travellers Tales revived LEGO games, releasing several license games with Coop and other nifty features, claiming both critcs and players alike.
Now what if I tell you, that a mix of both eras is soon to happen in the form of an open city video game. And even more so, what if Rockstar Games had it's fingers in it?
Well, apparently exactly that is happening, under the name "LEGO City Stories", Travellers Tales is working, with unknown support from Rockstar Games (probably engine licensing), on a full on game for the LEGO City theme, meaning you get to play as a cop, firefigther and whatever else they are going to put in. So far, not much info has been released about this game, only a few screenshots and small films have been leaked, but they all look very promising.
[B]But[/B] here is the downer: So far it is only known to be in the making for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
Wheter or not it comes out for any other plattform, or even interests you, the fact alone that Rockstar is involved, should at least make you keep half an eye on the development.

Game has a black flick every few minutes, managed to crash the game by hitting escape, sent informaniac into a spasm, then it crashed.

How is it too much? All they are doing is making a [B][I]GOOD[/I][/B] Lego game, instead of making more of the "Lego (Insert crossover idea here)". Anyways, they aren't stupid if they are making money. :downs:

This looks awesome. I love the CITY series of Legos more than any other, past, present and probably future. I get the weirdest boner everytime I visit the Lego section at Target or WalMart which is a terrible reaction to have when there are small children about.
It's nice to see the graphical capabilities of the Wii-U being demonstrated to their fullest extent.

To be honest, the 3DS currently has a better line-up then the PS Vita
I just need a tiny bit of extra convincing and i would buy one.
Also i hope 3DS and Wii U games can synch together so you can share saved files, unless they are really different of course

Is this going to be launch game for the Wii-U? Nintendo hasn't had a great launch lineup since the GameCube.
I hope they put it on PSP, they did with Chinatown wars and I liked it over the other GTA titles on PSP.
