Does any one still roleplay in warcraft 3? - Games

I remember before Star craft 2 came out, people would host games of Secrets of the Depths role play maps, and it was lots of fun to build and make awesome stories. But now I go on battle.net and all I see are DOTA and some tower defense maps. I am in US east, and I wonder if there are any private groups here on facepunch that still play?

i remember those maps, people still host them on rare occasions but it's not really popular anymore

I always tried to host the more obscure maps, like Cheese Chess, Gridlock TD, Rural Zombie Onslaught...all great, well built maps that pretty much never got picked up. Although I just realized how irrelevant this post was. Do people still host LOAPs?

There are some RP maps that pop up every once and again, but nothing big. You could always just google and hope to god you find something.

I RPed in this and Starcraft. Fun stuff.

I like star craft role play but... It just doesn't compare. It always seems to end with some evil zombie/zerg/alien menace then said enemy getting killed. There was no real story, It's all just two armies clashing.

Oh the overwhelming nostalgia. I remember Roleplaying in Warcraft 3. I miss it.

I used to SotDRP all the time with LOAP, RP For Morons, HS Loap, Fantasy Life, another Loap like Game with a shitton more custom crap.

Ah, the good old times. I remember how I used to play on the rp maps. I always liked CotM RP for some odd reason. Wish more people would host innovative or at least fun maps rather than the incredible amount of DotA spam. They have their own damn game for that by now.

I never saw the fun in DotA. Now adays, all of the games are automated, down to administration of players. Though then again, the DotA players probably come up with reasons to hate our games too. Gah, now I need to host. Anyone want me to host something? RP, please.

All of my LOAP experiences suck. It's mainly between the king and the drug lord, and all they do is stockpile powerful units.

Guys, Ima host as soon as someone suggests a good map. I'll use MakeMeHost so we all dont lag to death.

Starcraft role play, ahhhh the good old days of ghosts being archers and zerg being the undead. Good timeeees.
