So blizzard have announced that they are developing the feature for you too change your character(s) to the opposite faction.
I personally think that this will unbalance alliance and horde, but i also like this idea because if you made a toon on alliance that you really like playing but you get bored without people you enjoy leveling with/talking to on your main character you can just switch and level the toon on horde side etc etc.
What do you guys think about this?

Alliance is 10x more populated than horde overall
Even so, no reason to hate it.

most of the people i've been talking to on this server would have preferred to be on the less-populated side, so hopefully it evens it up a little bit

This is so awesome. I don't care about leveling anymore or anything that doesn't fit with lore, it's ruined anyway.
My human mage will join the ranks of the horde as an Undead as soon as possible.
They should make it like free migration. Every so often Horde can go to Alliance and Alliance to Horde...

Now I can finally stop removing my alliance/horde character just to start from 1 again when I want to play with a friend on a PVP realm.

Me too.
It would be a lot cooler, and you could keep the races you like to play just with different quests and allies.
But now they change the racials and everything, and some races actually have good synergy.
I personally think this is a great feature, I recently rerolled from Alliance to Horde and enjoy it much more. I've asked many people from my old server to reroll with me but the majority say they don't want to level from fresh.. this is where the faction change comes into play...
